View Full Version : What Song Would You Commit Suicide To?

Kid B
06/24/08, 10:50 PM
My friend and I were talking about this the other day.

Hypathetic situation - If you were in your room and you were going to hang yourself, and you wanted to put one song on repeat on your stereo/boombox to die to and for others to find your dead body to, what would it be?

Don't ask me if I'm suicidal; I'm not. It's just interesting to think about.

Mine: either No Suprises - Radiohead or Place To Be - Nick Drake

Edit: Stop Being Sarcastic!

Probably something by Nickelback, because then I'd be totally ready to die.

Then again, I wouldn't want to be caught dead listening to Nickelback.

Dilemma.

its not your fault by new found glory

"its not your fault, so please stop your crying now"

sound kind of good for a suicide thing...

but my note would blame my chemical romance.

probably some acoustic song to ease the situation, but i would have it on a timer that i would set to play 10 minutes after i hang myself to switch to My Chem just to further pressure the band into breaking up.

Some depressing classical song in a minor key, or just some sad instrumental song what might fit in a movie scene where the main character just fucked everything up.

One of my mates was in this very scenario. He played an Anathema instrumental track on repeat. The guys who were sharing a house with him thought that he was, A, being a dick and B, had fallen asleep with his stereo on loud. They just switched the power off at the fuse box to get some peace. I couldn't tell you what the track is called, but I couldn't listen too it now.

Planning a Prison Break, I guess. I don't know, leaving music playing on a loop would be too cliche' for me. I'd probably write something and leave it open on my laptop.

If I were going to top myself to music it would likely be Going Down To Die or Can't Sleep both by Danzig, or maybe Glenn Danzig's Black Aria. I can't imagine a scenario where I would though death scares me. I'm just a godless heathen who doesn't beleive in an afterlife. Perhaps Echobelly's I Can't Imagine The World Without Me would be more appropriate.
