I haven't written much lately, nor have I been on here. Bits and pieces have come out of me. Nothing to great. This hasn't been edited and I am only posting it to see what comes. I'd rather have you tell me about what it says, but whatever you say, you say. I'll probably edit this later, because I like the idea I started with. I hope it works out.

Why is it that I tend to wake up alone?
So early in the morning,
Longing not to be alone
Open eyes, tired and awaiting
While no one comes to the door

Waves crash on a far away shoreline
Never afraid of the coast
Not knowing the feeling of being alone

Birds call out for help
Sweet melodies heard but uncared for
Their nest has been washed away by the rain
They have children to feed,
Needing to sleep

Trees stand silently in a forest
They live off the land
With roots firm and tight, they feel fine

A girl sits at home
A powdery hot summer day
Only wishing she was gone away
But people move in and out from in front of her face
And she's only there to entertain

Clouds move slowly in the sky
Finding ways to fuel the needs of rain or shine
But never deceiving as they know what we need

We all hope for someone, something, or someway
But we need to learn to just "be"
Because nothings coming to us, if we haven't already seen
