Oh it definitely has some presence, but it is absolutely no where near as strong as in other countries.


For example an obscure genre like say power violence. Type that into google and you get not much.

Type happy hardcore in and you get loads of websites devoted to the stuff. It's not some obscure thing it's a really popular genre, far more popular than these pop punk bands, probably in America too.


I never even heard the term happy hardcore in it's original context until I had already heard it applied to this thread's style of music. So I'm gonna disagree, but since it's really impossible to know which relatively small genre has more prominence here in the states, I'll admit that you could definitely be right.

Actually, I'm leavin the band in August. I'm movin to Indy for school. I'm not sure what they're gonna do. I hope to find a band when I move to Indy though.
