it was a good movie, you can't take them seriously (obviously) but along the lines of the Friday the 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street movies it was pretty good. But Jason most def.

i disagree, it ignored the core substance of both franchises...and there fore really can't be compared to the originals...

No, horror as opposed to action....Jvs.F ignored the first and relied completely on the second.....

I voted for Freddy, because Jason actually is kind of good in the end of the movie, making him less vilian esque so........yeah

yeah i do understand that but you gotta see they dropped that shit along time ago with Friday the 13th part 5, perhaps even 3 with the whole 3-D thing. Nightmare on Elm Street has been a bit more about Freddy cracking jokes but it has had horror w/in it. But you could tell they didn't go for much horror in this one.

I'm gonna go with Freddy all the way. Freddy's witty and seems more frightening. Jason just walks slowly and hacks people. There's no originality to him at all. I own all the Freddy movies so I'm probably biased, but I just think Freddy is a much better villain than Jason.

I didn't mean to compare the two from the movie (although i did enjoy it)....I just meant the series in general. Let me be more clear so not to confuse people: What villain, from his respective movies, do you like most?

I was thinking about that last night and I could see how with Friday/Jason one could see these movies as Action/Horror, especially if you omit the first 4. But with Freddy I just don't see it these movies were always based on horror and in all of the movies Freddy was rather weak in hand to hand combat, which is completely contradicted in the new film.... So I still think this movie is an abomination, but I do see your point...

freddy's better out the both but there's something about Jason that is just so damn hot. I think it's the mask, or how he's so cool and slow about things. i dunno but its just ;)

I just like how Jason seems to be so much more limited to stuff (I mean Freddy's in dreams...only limited by imagination) but is still able to do different things.
