vocalist looking to jam OR to join band

hey, I'm an eighteen year old vocalist (yeah, I'm a girl) looking to jam with someone on guitar or to join a band. I currently split my time between Rockland and Westchester counties in New York, so anywhere in New Jersey, closeby Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Long Island, or upper New York sounds good to me.
Some of my main favorites are John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Death Cab, Jack's Mannequin, etc but I'm also heavily into Four Year Strong, You Me And Everyone We Know, The Graduate, Say Anything, and stuff like that. I'm down to try out anything though.
