Yeah, Holy Bible is still amazing to this day. I remember sitting at a bus stop after I bought it reading the lyrics and looking at the inlay and just trying to get into his head.

I love The Holy Bible. Still need to listen to Everything Must Go, Jonas.

Everything Must Go is beautiful & sad because most of it is their coping with Ritchie's loss.

One of my all time favorite bands. The Holy Bible is one of the best albums of the 90's, maybe ever. But don't sell their other stuff short either. I'm rather fond of This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours as far as the post Richie stuff goes. And the debut is amazing if you can get past the G'n'R ripoff aspect of it. Oh yeah, and the New Art Riot EP was just about perfect, I wish they would've continued in that direction for the debut.

That being said... The new album has me intrigued, but I'm worried it might suck. The last album was good at first but got old pretty quickly. The new album supposedly will be all Richie lyrics, which makes me wonder if he really wrote that much stuff, or if they're scraping the barrel and going with his leftover crap that he would never have wanted released. Steve Albini is producing, which could be amazing or could be terrible. His track record is so spotty, I'm hoping he manages to pull off something good this time out. But even though I'm worried, it's probably still my most anticipated album of 2009, so hopefully they won't let me down.

I'm looking forward to the new album and have complete faith in them that they will do it justice.

The Manics will be performing alongside Glasvegas at T In The Park on the King Tut Stage so that should be a brilliant show! Also the new album provisionally entitled Journal For Plague Lovers is due out in May so am really excited about that. Can't wait!

The Holy Bible is a huge downer of an album.

Yeah, THB is pretty heavy but it does have glimmers of light amongst the darkness. Can't wait to hear what the new album will sound like!

The Holy Bible is great. I've never been that tempted to listen to anything else by them though.

I figured they were rock, you could be more specific. I'll check out the songs on grooveshark or something, since I'm at school.

Hm theres nothing to be more specific about.. They are a 'rock' band. No sub genre or anything else. Just good solid rock music. Plus of course The Holy Bible is a purely genious album

I absolutely love The Holy Bible. One of my top ten favourite albums.

Journal For Plague lovers was my favourite from last year too. They've still got it.

New song. Had a few listens now, it's growing. Didn't like initially, but it's definitely a top tune in the making.
