"Giving In To Giving Up"

Letters never sent are bruises on my bones (How can you)
Words never said are bullets to my lungs (Hurt me like this)
Don’t believe the smile that I’ve constructed (Your fading footprints)
It’s as fake as the sympathy you feed me everyday (Leave my heart in dust)

I’ve got no intention of letting you go (You’re letting me go)
I’ll fight with sword in hand until the end (Falling fast away)

Exhaling loses its ease in your presence
Blood slowly drains from my veins
Hoping that day comes
The day I take back my rein of everything
Cause right now that’s all I have
It keeps me hanging on for more

Comfort has lost its place beside me
Fighting for each last breath
Wasting more time in your soul
Where I never met the keeper

You’ve got intentions of letting me go (My weakening grip)
I’ll fight with sword in hand until the end (Falling fast away)

Exhaling loses its ease in your presence
Let the blood slowly drain from my veins
Hoping that day comes
The day I take back my rein of everything
Cause right now its all I have
It keeps me hanging on for more

You’ve got intentions on letting me go (My weakening grip)
I’ll fight with sword in hand until the end (Falling fast away)
Come on and finish what you started (Finish what you started)
Don’t be surprised (You act so surprised)

Tie me to these last words
Hold these promises against me
One last breath for old time’s sake (While I slip through your hands again)

I’m slipping through (Fading fast away)
I’m slipping through (Falling down)
I’m slipping through (Fading fast away)
I’m slipping through (Falling down)
I am (I am)
I am (I am)
I am gone

it's just so funny that ur a fan of new found glory, because with a piece of well-written work like this, i figured that you would have a better taste for music than that. not necessarily that they are bad, but that the effectiveness of this makes me question if any influence comes from them at all. this piece is amazing, especially the first two lines. Just change the title, and it's good to go.

sarcasm is noted, and watch who you bash, being in any band is better than sitting at home complaining about a band...

no, i write as well. i'm not necessarily complaining about new found glory, just figured it wouldn't factor into taste coming out of a piece of writing that i think is really good.I'll think of a title for it soon.

thanks, i sometimes think coming up with a good title is actually harder than writing the song(hehe).........but i'm usually influenced by brand new and tbs(which you can prob tell on this particular one with the dualing vocal parts but its fun writing that way though occasionally).
