Monty Python's sweet... but nothing can match the stoner 80's of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
by the way... Homestar Runner rocks!

depends on the genre....
Horror: Dawn of the Dead, of course.
Action: Jackie Brown or Desperado....but my personal favorite is Way of the Gun, but of course its not the best movie ever...
Comedy: MallRats, with original begining...
if i had to pick just one though it would be Dawn of the Dead.

Justin_stacy
03/30/04, 09:50 PM
that along with the 20 minutes that follow...
boysdontcry
03/30/04, 09:52 PM
i like the 20 minutes that follow, with brody talking to the reporter saying that brandi's father is a satanist. classic.

well i don't like the original beginning, just the stuff that follows. i like the "cat in the ass" beginning better. however, whichever beginning it has, i still love that movie.

i like the "cat in the ass" beginning better.
See I just don't think using a tired old joke, that wasn't that funny to begin with, is a good way to open a film.... Especially one of this magnitude….

I know I'll get blasted out of the water for this but...Monty Python is the most overrated movie of all time. Not the best. Everytime I watch it I say to myself, "Its gotta be good. Everyone loves it." I turn it off after the witch explanation. Sorry guys but the truth is the truth.

I'll go by genre
Action: Pulp Fiction
Drama: Usual Suspects
Comedy: It's a tie between any American Pie movie and Airplane
Horror: Halloween (in my opinion, Dawn Of The Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre needed remakes desperately, but this movie still retains terror even after almost 25 years, the acting is tight, the scares are amazing and this movie always makes Halloween parties go nuts)
Sci-Fi/Weird: Donnie Darko (drama favorite was taken by Usual Suspects but we can throw this into sci-fi)
superman
04/17/04, 04:31 PM
The Matrix
Fight Club
The Godfather
Kill Bill (1 and 2 together)
Star Wars (old ones)

i agree with you, it's funny at times but most of the time i find myself scratching my head at the "punchline" as to why so many think it's so funny.
