The calming lights of your stereo
All the security we would never know
Your hand holds mine, but you're not there
Knowing I love you, that you don't care
I see in your eyes all you can't say
You try to hold me, yet hold me away
You can't understand that you're breaking my heart
I can't pick up the pieces, you'd just tear them apart
Your shadows still haunt you, I don't know what you fear
Knowing I can't hang on, tear after tear
I can't watch you crumble, can't watch you fall
But I gave you my love and you gave none at all
I've let you go, but you're still in my mind
I hope, in the end, some peace you will find
I've found solace in letting go
But I used love you, and I need you to know

It reminds me in a way of "There Is" by Boxcar Racer. It's alright. Not to sound mean but it sort of was too cliche in a way to grab my attention. I have not read any of your other work so I have nothing to compare it too. Sorry.

Don't worry about sounding mean, any feedback is appreciated. It is pretty cliche, but I couldn't really think of any other way to word it at the time.
