don't you hate when you start listening to a band, and the intro to the song is great, the music and everything is awesome... then the singer comes in and fucks it all up. that has happend to me with so many bands, i really thought hopesfall music was good.. but i'm not too into the whole non-stop screaming thing, and the same thing with FATA. anyway let's hear everybody talk some shit about bands that have done this for them...

Hahaha yeah. Like they have amazing music..but the singing is horrible. Or vice-versa. Horrible.

I find that with a lot of straight up punk bands that they'll have really catchy riffs to start off the song and sometimes a singer will come in and be really flat. Yeah, it sucks but oh well...

Come on, how can you not get into FATA/Hopesfall vocals? They're not that heavy at all. Just listen to that stuff for a month or two and it won't bother you at all. Hopesfall should definitely have enough melody to keep you listening.

yeah, i've been to a few shows where the opening bands are either local acts or relatively unknown, and they start playing and i'm thinking, hmm, this sounds pretty good and then the singer just opens his mouth and it's like auditory napalm.
Its not FATA's screaming that bothers me, its the drummer's singing voice.

Hopesfall isn't all screaming I don't know a ton of songs by them off the top of my head, but go listen to 'The Bending", and even if they didn't sing at all (which wouldn't bother me), the band is incredible and I could listen to by itself.......

FATA - try getting into the newer album, The Fiction We Live, first. There's a lot more melody in the vocals and guitars. As for other songs, try listening to Cherry Kiss, Chloroform Perfume, and Reflections
Hopesfall - once again, their latest album is the most melodic. Songs: April Left With Silence, The End Of An Era, Andromeda, The Bending, Decoys Like Curves

Even though I dislike FATA, I do dig Cherry Kiss, that is a gnarley ass song.
And Hopesfall is just overall awsome.

k FATA isn't too bad. i downloaded some of their stuff and so far my 2 fave's are "the second wrong makes you feel right" and "i'm the best at ruining my life." still not likin hopesfall too much though.

you know what i think is worse that that is when the lyrics are Awesome but the music sucks, i think i hate that like this |--| much more thatn when the singer screws the song over.
