i was waiting until i had some albums to make this thread, and now thanks to a wonderful aper, i do. i heard of these guys through a weeds cover that they did, and pretty much fell in love. they have a really interesting sound, and mix reggae and hip hop and jazz, even salsa. any fans? definitely check these guys out if you like... music.

They aren't terrible, but not amazing either. I can't remember the first time I heard them. Honestly, I like hip hop separate from other genres.. since most people (like Anthony Kledis) are just obnoxiously bad when they attempt to rap.
Regardless, the fact that they covered Weeds makes them worth listening to regardless. I know I heard them cover sublime before, I think it was April 29 but not sure.

They remind me a little of Fat Freddy's Drop for some reason, who I really really really.. really love. I haven't listened to a whole lot by them yet, but I am liking them so far.

Actually, thanks for reminding me. Fat Freddy's Drop is great but haven't had the chance to listen to them often yet. Only spun their CD a few times.
Been listening to a lot of Slightly Stoopid lately.. they don't seem to be well liked here though.

There's supposed to be a new FFD album this year, I'm ridiculously excited for it.
I've heard of them but never listened. I should look into finding an album or two. What should I start with?

It's on the sublime/pepper side of things, so if you dislike either of those you probably shouldn't check them out.

Might not be your thing.
Everything You Need is their best. Only song I dislike on their is Punk Rock Billy, because.. it sounds completely out of place.
Chronchitis is pretty good too, it's their newest. But, Everything You Need is still ebtter.

The cover sounds pretty good. Thanks, I'll check it out.
