Which do you like more? I go with Pinkerton. I used to like Blue more, but I have heard it way too much now.

I simply don't think Blue's a very good album. The lyrics are bad and the music is too repetitive.

Too be fair, Rivers never had good lyrics. Never.

Actually I think Pinkerton is much more repetetive then Blue.

I guess that's possible, but I find the lyrics at least bearable on Pinkerton.

The beauty of Pinkerton's lyrics is that Rivers doesn't beat around the bush and use metaphors. He goes right out and tells you he's tired of having sex.

I think the same can be said for Blue.

Lol good question. Oh well, at least it'll have closure.
That kind of rules out OK vs. Kid A for The Ultimate Duel pt 2 hehe.

Yeah, I was curious if there'd be more Ultimate Duels.

Pablo Honey isn't that bad. Still my least favourite Radiohead album, but still. I do hate Creep though.

I do love OK Computer. It's one of my favourite albums ever, but it's just no Kid A.

Blue is the album to listen to if you ever wanted to. It is certainly more accessible and friendly than Pinkerton.

Cue the "But the inaccessibility and awkwardness are what make Pinkerton so majestic and uncomfortably beautiful!!"

Haha, it's not that reason at all as to why I favor Pinkerton. I just really enjoy the songs themselves, nothing deeper than that.

Also, as much as people may say that polls like these are overdone with the head-to-head albums, I would be just fine to do them until there is no more internetz.

Kinda like how most people don't like track-by-track album reviews but I find them the most entertaining. In the immortal words of The Colonel James: "Call me crazy, call me a pervert; I like the simple things."

Haha, it really is. There are albums I enjoy for more than just liking the songs of course, but there are plenty that I like just because, well, I like them, haha. can't put it any simpler than that.

The only reason it is treated that way is because the rest of there stuff is so great. Victim of there own success.

This is truth. But I hate when that happens to albums. This is the tenth time I've said this, but just because an album isn't the best of a band's catalog doesn't mean it isn't a good album in its' own right.

Where did I say I thought Weezer was bad? I didn't, I said the Blue Album and Pinkerton are bad. Anyway, they're not so much bad as they are horribly overrated (especially here) which just gets really annoying. People here claim that they are two of the best albums of the 90's, which to me is delusional. Mediocre at best lyrics, occasionally catchy riffs...

Blue album, Pinkerton was great but a little too rocky for me. Blue album was a little more refined and accessible, followed closely by Maladroit which is underrated in my opinion.

Pinkerton. Pinkerton was the first Weezer album I had ever heard, and remains among my favorite albums of all time. Don't get me wrong... I love the Blue Album, but Pinkerton just seemed to express emotion in a more poignant manner. Everything down to the recording value of the songs is expressive of scattered, social dissidence. The lyrics on Pinkerton are stronger and more expressive, the dual guitars scream to incredible volumes, the raging hiss of the amplifiers grabs the listener and throttles them back and forth until they at least have a glimpse of the sort of pain Cuomo experienced at Harvard. Its frustration on plastic. The Blue Album is among my favorites, but Pinkerton's raw tenacity goes unmatched. I'm one of those people that enjoyed In Utero a little bit more than Nevermind.
