View Full Version : Your funeral song.
What song would you have played at your funeral?
What one song could capitalize the whole of you existence?
I'd choose Exit Music(for a film) by radiohead.
EDIT: explain...

well this thread isn't morbid at all.. is it?
lol... anyway
I'd say either Sarah McLachlan's Angel or Jeff Buckley's cover of Hallelujah. Why? Because they're depressing yet I love them.

oh well, Bebo Norman - Time Takes Its Toll
Rollin' - Limp Bizkit.
Haha. I can't help but laugh at that (I'm sure that was the point).
Without thinking on it long, I'm going to say "Cautioners" by Jimmy Eat World.
Coldplay - The Scientist or anything by them.
That's a good choice. I'd consider it. Beautiful song.

"hallelujah" by jeff buckley. it's seems appropiate for the occasion and it's a beautiful song.
i may hold it on a Suday & play Sunday Sun to give it a hipster vibe, plus it's my favorite song.
Starálfur & No Surprises would both make beautiful passing songs as well...

For just an instrumental track, I'd choose Aeris (Aerith)'s theme from FF7. Oh my god, I am a fucking dork.
In real non-dorkiness and actual songs, I'd choose Come All You Weary by Thrice.

Just went to a friend's funeral on Monday. He was a soldier, and was killed in Afghanistan on the 1st.
He wanted "I Won't Back Down" by Johnny Cash to be played at his funeral, and his mom made sure that happened. It really got me thinking about this subject. I've thought a lot about it since then, and I just can't decide.

Now I can't decide, but maybe something by Sleeping at Last like 'Umbrellas' or 'Currents'
Or maybe Robyn's 'Eclipse' because it reminds me of a carride I have vivid memories of. The lyrics are kinda suiting also "There's an eclipse in your eye where I used to shine / Then it all just falls apart, The day I break your heart"
