Brand New is overrated.

Yea, I said it. I know that this will piss some people off, but I dont think that Brand New is as good as everyone says they are. I listened to their album last night, and its good, but I skipped most of the songs after track 8, till I got to the last song. I just think, that for someone to get all the attention they do, they should make a CD where you dont ever skip any of the songs. Like Thrice. Its just that some people treat Jesse Lacey like the messiah of music or something, and he is good, but some other people are better.

Ill say it this way, I dont like "Guernica", "Good to know...." or "Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis" as much as the others. I just think that they could have written some better songs than those, then, Id be with everyone else and love them, but those three songs are a little weak, if you ask me.

the thing with deja is...that it really DOES run the risk of becoming boring...

I understand where the meaning of this thread started...i LOVE this album....its in my top 10 of al time...EVEN THO i find 2 or 3 of the songs reallllly boring....what makes the cd brilliant is the fact that some of the songs on it are so incredibly strong and powerful that it makes up any, ANY mishaps on other songs...and we can ignore the worse songs because the better ones will drug our minds .

Its impossible for any music to live up to the hype that they got, anything less than the perfect album would have fallen short. But that being said, I'm glad that they got the amount of critical acclaim that they did with their last album because it means that they will definatly continue to evolve in a positive manner for future albums, making music that is better and better...and yes, I think that they can top deja.

And 13th_hour, I don't see how FATA is any bigger of a joke than MCR or Thrice. Maybe it's the whole fashioncore nonsense, but then again, Atticus is a "punk clothing company".

These guys are awesome & I'm so excited about Daisy. I'm actually getting it today. I've had every one of their CDs and none of them disappoint at all. Deja Entendu is the best.
