The best drummer in the world today, hands down, is Carter Beauford...the drummer for the Dave Matthews Band. If you know anything about drumming and music theory, this guy should blow your mind. He can literally play in 12/8 with one hand, 4/4 time with his other, then be beating the bass drum on a 16/8 time, while doing something with his other foot on a cut time feel. The guy is nothing short of a god.

well the current drummer for what's left of saosin didn't even play on the translating the name ep. the guy who played on that cd was a fill-in drummer for SLAYER. yeah, you have to be pretty good to be a fill-in drummer for slayer.

travis barker's a great drummer but he is definately not the best.

thats cool, i didnt know that about the saosin/slayer fill-in guy, i dont really like slayer, but their drums are incredible from what ive heard. i'm just too much of an emo pussy/pop-punk douche for slayer haha
