Number One Fan (http://www.numberonefanonline.com) is going to be making a video for the song 'Come On' in LA later this month. I have heard from reliable sources that MTV has given them $35,000 to make the video.

Why would MTV pay for a band to make a video...that doesn't make any sense at all. Labels pay for videos to help promote the band.

I don't know about the MTV part, that sounds like a joke, but here's some news I found online about the video:
Number One Fan will be shooting a video for their song "Come On" this Thursday 4/8 in Los Angeles. The video will be directed by XDOANEX Films (Jimmy Eat World, Saves The Day, Blink-182, Thursday). "Come On" is the first single from Number One Fan's debut album, Compromises, due out May 18 on PRC/Universal. The band is currently on tour with The Juliana Theory and will be on the second half of this summer's Warped Tour. They are also appearing on the bill for the sold out Skate & Surf Festival show on Saturday 4/17 in Asbury Park, NJ.

Ahh...are these gonna just hop, skip, and jump over the underground. I suppose as long as they're being offered a deal. Hopefully, they've got enough heart not give up what they have and get handed a new sound by their label.
