1. Indoors / Outdoors? The Skate And Surf Festival is primarily an INDOOR event, with most of the action taking place on three stages inside the Convention Hall complex. There are two outside stages - the BMX and Boardwalk stage - which will be covered in the event of rain.

2. Alcohol? Beer is served at the Festival, but only in one designated "Beer Garden" area on the second floor. Only persons age 21 or over with valid, government (state)-issued identification will be permitted in the beer garden. Trained professionals - many with law enforcement backgrounds - check each person's identification prior to entering the drinking area.

3. Hotels? Many of the area's hotels are sold out for the weekend. The Festival itself doesn't have an official hotel, though we do have some recommendations on the Hotels & Directions page.

4. Can I flyer my local show or new record release? Fans handing out flyers at the Festival will have their materials confiscated, and could be subject to city cleanup fees or expulsion from the venue. The Convention Hall complex is a federally-protected landmark, so we go through extensive means to keep the building clean. Anyone caught with stickers at the Festival will be asked to leave the event.

5. Food? We have burgers, dogs, pizza, pretzels, veggie burgers, fries, popcorn, chips, candy, all sorts of beverages and more at the Festival.

6. Is there re-entry? A limited number of re-entry wristbands are distributed daily, so that fans may walk in and out of the venue. For safety reasons, fans are subject to security patdowns upon each entry to the venue. Please leave your weapons, illegal substances, chained wallets, high-resolution cameras, recording devices and the like at home. Disposeable, point-and-shoot cameras will be allowed.

7. How late? The Festival is slated to end between 11:00 PM - midnight each night.

8. Can parents come and hang out? All persons entering the Festival must have a ticket.

But im sure that they'll let the bands performing sell stickers, and if not, not a big deal.

How about you fucking clean the floor, the boardwalk and the beach after this event. See how many of the flyers these bands hand out, actually end up in a persons pocket, and how many actually end up on the ground.

Exactly... how many of you people actually keep the shit that's passed out... or instead of taking "a" sticker, you take 20 of them, give 10 to your friends and throw 9 of them at that kid sitting below you smoking a bowl in the stands... cleanup has to be the biggest pain in the ass ever!

Also, why the hell would you serve beer at a fucking mega-concert like this... it's bound to have problems with people who can't hold their liquor and worse, people that can't keep their mouth shut when they're drunk and start fights... they're probably fucked up on other shit too...

But what about passing out cd samplers? My band is playing the event and we have over 400 samplers to give out. We've been burning like crazy these past couple of weeks and now it looks as though we've just wasted our time and money.
