This will be a difficult series for the Sharks, but they will play much harder than the Red Wings, but this will be a tough tough series. San Jose in 6.

Tampa Bay gets no respect and a lot of people picked Montral to beat them in the 2nd round...they responded with a sweep. They have a great defense and defense wins hockey games...with St Louis providing the timely goal scoring. The Flyers will make this tough, but the Lightning will win in 5 tough games.

seriously fuck tampa bay, but that's not the point. the point is that they're a great hockey club and they are gonna make it near-impossible for the flyers to advance (as much as i want them to). that's not saying that philly doesn't have a chance, they do. hitchcock has changed the way these guys play especially in the post-season and it obviously has been for the better.
so far they flyers have dismissed their critics and eliminated two great teams that many people thought would elimate the flyers themselves. i'm not saying expect them to win, because even i don't, but all i'm saying is don't count them out yet, because they obviously have a few tricks up their sleeves.

No sweep, lightning didn't show up today, but I say lightning in 6, its 3-0 flyers at the end of the first, but they were all easy goals, meaning the other team didn't come to play. Blowout losses when they consist of mostly easy goals tend to actually help the team, it gives them a wake up call.

Stanley Cup champions average 7 losses in the playoffs, 2 are blowouts where they don't show up.

Toronto got close though and almost won....

This game was too easy for the Flyers, Khababulin did not show up and there were a lot of cheap and easy goals for the Flyers. Bulin looked lost tonight and allowed goals he always stops. Tampa will learn from this game and play much better in the series. I would rather play a team that was beat in 2 or 3 OTs more than a team that was blown out last game. Expect Tampa to play much better in Game 3 and beat the Flyers and win the series.

I remember whenever Roy had a really bad game, he shuts out the opponent next game.

Just because they are perfect at home in two rounds doesn't mean that they would be perfect this round. I think Philly and Tampa will split the two games in Philly.

I'm really glad that Calgary didn't win.

Their shitty brand of clutch and grab hockey finally caught up with them. And they wonder why they got more penalties than Tampa. Expect to spend lots of time in the box if your entire strategy revolves around obstruction. All conspiracy theories and stupidity aside, it was a pretty good final.
