What is The Fall about?

"In a hospital on the outskirts of 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman begins to tell a fellow patient, a little girl with a broken arm, a fantastical story about 5 mythical heroes. Thanks to his fractured state of mind and her vivid imagination, the line between fiction and reality starts to blur as the tale advances."

It's such a gorgeous movie.

The theaters around here only play trash. Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Iron Man are the only two films i've seen in the theaters this year that i've really enjoyed. I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With, Cassandra's Dream, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, Diary of the Dead, and Numb are the films that have hit dvd recently that i've loved.

I've been wanting to see The Visitor and In Bruges is sitting on my table right now.

I liked how there wasn't much to it. It felt real, like I was watching this really happen to a family. Nothing was over the top or far fetched from what could be seen in that situation in reality. Granted, it made me feel like shit the whole movie, but I thought it was well done and the acting was excellent.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808279/

It says 07 on imdb but it's 08 for the US (at least i think it is).

It's a movie about these two guys who terrorize this family. It is a remake, almost line for line, of a movie made by the same director in 1997 (that movie was in Austrain i believe). Basically the movie pokes fun at the horror genre and american aduiences reaction to horror movies. I thought it was great.

To be completely honest, the answer to all of your questions lies in itself: it is a completely useless and unnecessary film because of the way it is remade. The remake serves no purpose other than to bring it to American audiences, and it does nothing but lose authenticity in the process.

And I didn't by any means hate Funny Games, I'm just stating my opinion.

Okay, i can respect the fact that you find the film to be unnecessary. Although i think that if more people saw the movie and understood the ideas expressed by remaking it for American audiences, then it was a good thing.

Numb is so fantastic. Perry really is great in it.

It's really good, I like the way in which it is filmed. One could call it a thriller and yet it doesn't have the look of a usual thriller, if that makes sense. Also, the actors are all perfectly cast. Definitely watch it.

I was amazed about how much I enjoyed it. It was a ton of fun, had incredible fight scenes, and the animation had serious style. It was full of heart and I definitely was immersed with everything that was happening in it.

Plus, it has David Cross and Seth Rogen as a kung-fu crane and praying mantis respectively. How could you not love that?
