how can you say the split is sick if you dont like one man army. doesnt make much sense seeing as they are part of the split....anyway i heard the whole split last night and the alk3 have a weird new sound with this split record. its pretty good and once again dan's songs slay over matt's songs

Alkaline Trio would be in my top 5 bands if it wasnt for Dan. I HATE Dans voice and must skip all his songs. I know a lot of people disagree and like dan, but his nasal voice..I cant handle it, like Rufio...its too annoying. GO AWAY DAN~! MATT SKIBA 4 LIFE!!

This person must not have heard anything before Good Mourning. If it weren't for Dan, then Alkaline Trio would probably just be like all the other bands out there with no diversity. You should probably check out a cd called Maybe I'll Catch Fire.

I like, I like. I'm all about the contrast between Dan and Matt's vocals. Anyway, what's One Man Army like? I don't want to buy the split if I don't like their sound. And does anybody know if Dan and Matt split 3/3 on the songs on this record? Thanks.

Mr Skiba or Danny boy eh. No hate towards Dan, but I would have to say Skiba is more enjoyable to listen to. Im waiting to see how long it takes for someone to bash this, but Skiba is just to powerful, kind of like a super hero of sorts.

wow...this is very different, theres a lot more depth...and he seems to be fitting way more words into the song, and it kind of reminds me of misfits...I like it..it seems as if theyve even pulled off yet another different sound that, in my opinion, still seems quite nice if ya ask me.
seems as though matts voice is a lot lower, like toned down to kind of fit in with the level of the music, its not sticking out as much, which i dont mind, just saying its definitely a change in the usual skiba vocals heh.
and whats with that second guitar man?...i dunno, i might be losing my hearing but i swear i hear a second guitar playing a few chords while that other riff is playing in the background. is this matts guitar tech guy that ive seen jammin behind the scenes at the vagrant tour show or is this just how they produced the song, like mixed the two guitars over each other? alkaline quartet er what? hehe jk
im not much of a fan of old school actual punk, like the more crunchy/basic few chords strummin kind of stuff from a ways back, but this kind of reminds me of some of the bands of that wide genre of that day and it sounds dope....Im definitely purchasing this split regardless of what it sounds like though, because well...the trio have made music that outlines my teenage years, and i apreciate every song for what its worth, and also the guys seem to be pretty nice/respectable, so support i must show! ::checks empty wallet...then frowns::

Wven though your stupid "MATT SKIBA 4 LIFE" quote makes yousound pretty damn immature, you brought up a very good point. I have always hated Dan's voice, and have bought every alkaline trio, but only listening to Matt's songs. Sorry hardcore ak3 fans, but Dan sucks, he should only be singing backup to the true talent of that band, Matt.

I love alkaline trio and that songs damn good. but overall, matt's songs are better than dan's. but dan still kicks ass. no one can be matt skiba except for matt skiba.

Matt and Dan compliment each other perfectly...like butter and bread, spaghetti and meatball, lamb and tunafish. As great as Matt is, I love to hear Dan and his songs. Both are really talented musicians and songwriters.
I wanted to see em tonite in San Diego, but instead I'm stuck in New Mexico! Argh...My friends'll be sure to rub it in my face. Meh...I get lightning..beat that!
