I think Scary Kids Scaring Kids, are pretty bad ass (and also from the Arizona area), along with Not Quite Bernedetta who is also is pretty awesome.

This is rediculous.. this band played its first show just in January, weren't even that good (singer can't even carry a tune) and all of the sudden, someone's already swingin' from their nuts? Give me a break. At least give them a year when they've really shown us what they're capable of.

everyone has write to opinion, some ppl dont care for his voice, and some do, its all personal prefernce really i suppose.

That's true but his voice seriously sucks. He can't hit the high "emo" notes, his voice cracks, doesn't even sing in key. The music was pretty good, but for being their first show when I saw them, he was pretentious as fuck.
thank you seriously so much the compliment jason, and we would like to say and agree that yes there are some AMAZING local bands we are privledged to share the stage with time and time again, greeley estates, scary kids, NQB, desole, dont let go and soooo many more, all you guys rock and we seriously love spending time together and playin show and such.
we would also like to say thankyou for those of you who have stuck with us these first few months, things started out very rocky, then we started getting things together, then we got 2 new members, but we can finaly say this is now goodbyetomorrow, we are complete, and we are busting our butts to work to bring you guys our best performance we can, so thankyou for helping us keep on truckin through rough times...

just a quick question not to start problems, have you seen us in the past month since we got outta the studio?... we have been working with him, and ppl say once he came outta the studio he was like a completely new singer... just somethin to think about... thankyou for the comment and input though

Yea, and I'm not sure about that Versus the Mirror band... I mean, sure, The Bled's doing great coming out of Tucson, but I dunno about two bands from Tucson... Just getting one good thing to come out of Tucson was asking a lot...

have you even seen this band live? ok honestly i dont like their music t all. i'm a closeminded hardcore kid and i know it. but these guys put on one helluva show. and that singer was freaking perfect. i didnt hear a single bad note come out of him. so i'm not sure we even saw the same band. as for him being cocky, if he is, he has every reason to be. kid can sing. EDIT: i didnt see the same show as you.
and as for bad singers. i love sksk. but tyson is one of the worst live singrs ive ever heard. hes great on cd but live the only thing good is his scream. anyone who has seen them knows that. EDIT: de sole singer sucks hardcore live too. never heard a right note outta that guy.

I think it's funny that all of you claim to be Arizona "scene" kids but not a single one of you have mentioned The Mean Reds who put on a better show than most of these bands combined. Maybe it's cause they're from Tucson though.

between you and me (and a couple hundred thousand of people), i am all about the gin blossoms. most people will be "too cool" to agree but you know when you're driving home late at night and "until i hear it from you" comes on, you know you crank that shit, go 15 over the speed limit and think about empire records. they are arizona's first real success besides burritos and teenage pregnancy.
don't forget about judas priest and sepultura. they are from arizona.
that's right...you got a gay guy and .......some soul fly.

the mean reds are decent but since when has throwing on lipstick, dressing like hilary duff cast members and being not tight at all make up for a good live show? fill me in. they mean well but come on...let's drop the gimmick. word.

hey, im not sure who this is, but this is josh niles... first of all im not the only kid in az to say "hella" (not hellava) and i say "frekin" (not freaking), and ive never once said crazy good, if you knew me you would know the above, please stop trying to cause drama... "you're lucky to even be in a band."....i started this band acoustic myself along time ago and asked the guys to join me... and another thing, why would i say i hate my own band but like the singer??.... please stop trying to start problems...

we can only hope after being around as long as those bands that we can draw the local crowds they do, gbt has been a band since late january of 2004, and only as of 2 weeks ago finaly has a complete line-up... we are tryin our best, and given it our all just like every band... so please dont be a downer on everything.

i would just like it to be known that matt is the BEST singer i have ever heard. i am a hard ass about what i like, i hardly like anyhting or anyone at all. i'm picky. i remember when the joshs' told me about matt and how great he was they said "you of all people need to hear him." when i did it was at a show, he was sick and was playing piano and this big voice came out of his little body, and i was taken right away by his unique sound. i was lance's [de sole] voice teacher for a long time, we didn't really work on a lot, just tried to build his confidence, the more confident he was when they played, the better they did. one time lance sang a whole song off key. being the choir nerd that i am, i know confidece refelects the preformance and how well you will do on it. lance was amazing in practice but it seemed like someone else was singing when he got on stage. i love the kid though for his effort and work of getting better live, and being a better singer. at the show in january i brought matt some singers tea for his little sick voice. from the vocal perspective matt is hands down, the best male vocalist i have ever heard. if i were him i'd be cocky. he has a flawless voice. moving on, matt takes care of his voice and i honestly know that him taking care of it the way he does will help, if not secure, goodbye tomorrow in having a longer career. so yes. i'm the vocal dork of the century. i have an opinion on everyone who sings. hitting every note accuracy is my priority when watching a band play. there have been shows that i walk to a different places EVERYTIME there was a new song because i was afraid the singer would find me and see my face and assume he was doing bad, and usually he was. in closing, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. <3
