It's funny that our age group cannot escape consumerism. Anywhere. Cool, regardless of one's personal definition, is always recognized by someone who knows their shit, and sold. That's the best justification for trying to be an elitist. By staying ahead of cool, one can save money. I thought vintage clothing would disprove that statement, in that its low price is a major factor in its coolness. But now it has been artificially created and sold for a lot money, and even the authentic shizz is way expensive, here in LA at least.
