My band needs a new vocalist due to severe issues with current vocalist. We have not officially announced this, so it is somewhat on the DL so you will have to read this and if interested reply and I can let you listen and tell you what's up.
Our sound is straight pop/rock and is similar to bands like Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, The Higher, The Cab, Acceptance, Mayday Parade, Paramore, etc. This is NOT punk, screamo, etc. We need smooth pop vocals.
We are unsigned although we do get attention from people.. We have 1 album already released and available for purchase through iTunes and other online retailers.
We have a decent sized fan base (although a lot from out of our area) and have all pro gear and are ready to tour when neccessary.
CHECKLIST:
- Ages 18-22 please.
- Male only please. Nothing against female vocalists, but we have a male singer currently and don't want to switch this far in.
- Live in or around Los Angeles County, or be willing to relocate.
- Have previous band experience and vocal training, (or sound like you do)
- Some understanding of the music industry and a professional attitude. This is our passion, but it's also a business.
- Be ready to do this full time (for years possibly), learn all of our songs and possibly hit the studio to record right away, and soon enough hit the road.
- Please have a decent recording with you singing available, and be able to say a little about yourself. This is like applying for a cool job. A pic would be great also, you don't need to look like a model but you will be in the front of any photos/press materials.
- Last but not least, NO people with drinking/drug problems.
Only reply if you meet the criteria above and enjoy this kind of music. Don't be flaky, if you like what you hear and want to try out, lets set a date asap.
