i can honestly say this looks like the best movie ever. i am a huge fan of spider man. i can already tell this movie is gonna stay true to the comic. seriously it looks so good.

Super awesome trailer. That is gonna be one freaking cool movie. Looks even better than the first, and I loved the first. I've never even read the comic books, but I love the first Spider-Man movie, and this one looks like it could easily match it.

you can't just bring venom in the second movie, his background story is to big .. i HEAR they intro him in the second, so that you have some of a background for his appearance in the third.

the first spiderman was a piece of cinematic crap. kirsten dunst was HORRIBLE. so bad. i dont think i will be wasting any of my (parents) money on this.

theres so many storys about how venom came to be since there was so many spidy comics almost all of them had a diffrent plot of how he came to be,i wonder what comic book they use

The only one I remember went something like an alien being (sort of a black blob/pile of goo) ended up on earth somehow and attached itself to Peter Parker. It formed a symbiotic relationship with him and enhanced his powers (and gave him a gnarly black costume for a while). After a while, the entity began to take over Peter Parker so he had to rid himself of it.

So he somehow manages to break free from it and it oozes along the streets looking for someone else and it finds someone by the name of Eddie Brock who was a Spider-man hater (if I remember right). Thus, Venom was born!

It's been a really long time since I read these books though, so I probably have some of it not quite right.

haha, there's so many insults in my head right now, but they're all so obvious that i'll just keep my mouth shut. the first one became my all time favorite movie the night i saw it and has yet to be unseated, so yeah you could say i'm a little bit on the excited side for this one (tate you may call yourself a spider-nerd but i'll tell ya right now you got nothing on my spider-nerdiness). personally i think doc ock's the perfect villain for the second movie. he's got a cool backstory and visual, and after the first one they have the budget to do him right. as for venom, i'd put my money in him appearing in either the third or fourth movie, and probably using the ultimate origin, as is quickly becoming the norm for marvel movies. in that one peter and eddie's late fathers developed a cancer cure that turns into the venom suit, and eddie's like pete's older cooler friend who's in college now.
