Atlanta, GA – Following their most successful tour to date, Norma Jean’s six members are taking a much needed break at home...but not for long. With the phenomenal Solid State Tour coming to a close after over a month on the road as headliners, and nearly all sold out venues over its nationwide span (including Anaheim’s House of Blues with over 1,100 in attendance), Norma Jean couldn’t be happier with the results.

“I think that this past Solid State Tour, out of every single tour that we have done over the last five or so years, was surely the best tour that we have ever been a part of,” comments Norma Jean drummer Daniel Davison. “I honestly cannot believe how great it was. And I think that everyone else, whether it be the kids at the shows, the booking agents, the label, or the promoters...they were all just as happy and surprised as we were. Every single show was amazing, and they just kept getting better and better.”

Though its success shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone with the knowledge that Norma Jean’s most recent release, “Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child” has scanned 40,000 copies to date, the band seemed to be catching new admirers night after night. And the critics and fans alike seem to be consistently impressed by the addition of frontman Cory Putman (formerly of Eso Charis) along with the band’s use of chilling imagery displayed on their projection screen combined with an intense use of strobes to create a surreal light effect and extraordinary experience for audiences.

Now, building on the crescendo of their popularity, Norma Jean are taking on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball. The show, that will be taped this Friday, April 16th and air on Saturday night’s program will feature a Norma Jean interview along with their newest video for the song, “Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste,” featuring guest vocals from Aaron Weiss of mewithoutYou. Yeah bro, he definently did kick ass. I was really afraid to see Normajean, and Underoath during the solidstate tour here in farmingdale. When I saw them, it was probably, the best show ive been to in soo long.
