I couldn't find anyrhing in the search....so i created this thread....
Sad they broke up, but they had 3 great albums
Emotion Is Dead (2000),
Love (2003),
Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat (2005)
Their first album Understand This Is A Dream was not that good cause of the bad quality production...
For those who don't know the band....they were an alternative rock/indie rock/emo from Pennsylvania (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abacus_Recordings)
You should check these songs:
White Days
Don't Push Love Away
Everything
Bring It Low
Leave Like a Ghost (Drive Away)
Shotgun Serenade
The Hardest Things
Do You Believe Me?
To the Tune of 5,000 Screaming Children
Into The Dark
We're at the Top of the World (To the Simple Two)
I think they had bad lucky cause they signed with epic records and released Love(Major Label Debut) but the label almost didn't support them) they could have been a big band...they were unique and original

You forgot Music from another room.
But Understand This is a dream was excellent. Duane Joseph is still one of my favorite songs.
I wasn't so big on "love"

Never like this band. Saw them open for JEW around the time of release of Bleed American. Wasn't impressed.

Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat is criminally underrated. They really ended of a high note with that album.

I'll have to disagree with the original poster and say that Understand This Is A Dream is an amazing album and Love did nothing for me at all.
Actually now that I'm reading that back, "Love did nothing for me at all" sounds like a cliched emopop album title.
But yeah anyways, back on point... great band.

So I'm listening to Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat right now and I was prompted to search for an official thread. I'm pleased to see that it exists.
I sure do miss this band.
Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat is actually the only album by them I own. I used to listen to it a lot in the middle of the night for some reason. I'll have to spin it again sometime soon... (in the middle of the night of course)

I love these guys.
You know when you listen to a really good band a few years back, and then you discover them all over again? That just happened to me a few days ago with this band.

One of those really generic bands that never got big so AP posters assume were therefore amazing.
...really now? I see hardly any discussion on them on AP

Seconded.
I could never really get into Love for some reason, but I've always really liked Emotion is Dead and Deadbeat.
