Name an album or albums that you thought sucked initially...but over time have become some of your favorites. My most recent is Baysides "Sirens and Condolences"...when I first bought it I didnt really like it...I thought all the songs sounded the same for some reason. But now everytime I listen to it, it stays in my cd player for weeks on end. I love it! Its simple but so fun to listen to when your down.

I think you can add almost any Death Cab for Cutie album to this list. For each one I start out only finding a few songs I like...but after many spins I discover how great each album is.

Word to whoever said Death Cab. I love those records.

For me its Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning. I got it last June and only within the last two months have I come to love it. Yea, I know. Actually, I've done that with every Alk3 record I buy.

Also, Bayside as well and, um, don't hate me but....

Senses Fail - Let It Enfold You

I actually like it a lot and I hated their ep.

hated fall out boy- take this to your grave for a month...then loved it for 2 weeks...now its mild. saosin - translate the name. at first i didnt hate it, but it was nothing special. it then became my favorite EP of last year. me and bayside, i actually turned out to love sirens the first listen. plain white t's - stop. i dont know, there's a lot out there... what a better forum would be is naming albums we anticipated that ended up sucking (ex. incubus - a crow left of the murder, lost prophets - fake sound, get up kids - guilt show) but its still early, guilt show will grow on me

Same thing with me. Except I don't lift weights (its depressing how skinny/weak I am so I became emo where that kind is accepted).

The Art of Drowning- This is when I was first getting on the scene and his voice sounded strange to me. Now I love it

Deja Entendu and Leaving Through the Window

Deja Entendu is like an extended Bible now. When I need some guidance about friends or whatever it's there. And I couldn't like Leaving Through the Window until AFTER I loved North, now ... I hate to say it I listen to Leaving Through the Window and I'm all, OH SoCo was SOOO cute back in the day.

Falloutboy - the first listen was okay....but my ears quickly adjusted to discover the greatness which is "Take This To Your Grave."

Taking Back Sunday - for like four months the only songs I could listen to were "Cute With The E" and "Timberwolves At New Jersey." It grew on me eventually. Play it everyday now

I love that cd's transitions and just its overall message...so goodI love how it introduces that string quartet piece during the intro at the beginning of the CD, and then it comes back again at the very end of the CD during "Infection". It ties the beginning and the end together in such a way that is genius. It has a very cinematic feeling because it reminds me of the way a movie score composer will reprise one of the main themes in order to emphasize part of a movie. It's so beautiful. It makes me think "Ohhhhh... I understand..." even though I'm not really sure what it is that I understand.

"Is love an infection, or is it a sick addiction?"
