They're not too bad. I've just been overwhemled lately with all these new Drive-Thru bands. I can only tolerate maybe 2 of them though.

don't know much about these guys.. I listened to their song on pure volume and I have to say it pretty much sucked.... I really hope that's their worst song or something. At least we got one decent band out of all the new signings. (Jenoah)

its so sad. i used to be a fan of drive thru like 4 years ago. i dont remember the last time they signed a band ive atleast resepected. the last 5 or 6 bands theyve signed have all sounded like a ripoff of eachother. and it sounds like absolute shit. so sad.

I haven't heard anything really by Socratic but I think Jenoah is too sporatic(sp?) and I like some of Hellogoodbye, especially the song Dear Jamie.

As for Adelphi, I kinda like em.

Nothing original, not even very impressive. I can't believe how much they sound like old Matchbook Romance. Its Eerie. At least its remenescent of their old stuff and not their new crappy stuff. I missed Matchbooks old stuff, and if thats what this band is, then shoot, I'll listen, Attention was entertaining.

Hahaha, my thoughts exactly. Whenever a band is signed to Drive-Thru it will get all this attention. But if it was Victory, Lobster, Militia Group, or Ferret, no one would say anything, regardless of if it was good or bad.

and yeah, you just have to think about it. hellogoodbye - weather you think they suck or rock - are a very talented band. look at their song structures, and what they manage to come up with. its like, we all know metallica sucks but that doesnt mean they arent good at what they do

Their song structures are not complex at all. Their lyrics are really simplistic. Their strength is the ability to make catchy upbeat music that hooks the listener. The reason people love them so much (myself included) is that it's just really happy music that puts you into a good mood. If you want to hear talent, listen to Rx Bandits. Now THAT is talent.
