i'm almost positive there's already a thread, but search function isn't.. functioning, and there wasn't a thread listed on the stickied page for threads, so here it is!

new soul is nothing like the rest of her album. the album is so much better, and i recommend everyone check out a few songs other than new soul. my personal favorites from her are 'far far' and 'too long'. i wish there were better live videos on youtube so i could post some, but none of them do her justice.

doesn't she do that one song on the Mac commercials?

This woman speaks the truth. "New Soul" is not completely representative of her sound (Even though I like the song). "Levater" is my personal favorite, but the album's solid all around.

I just listened to her album once, and I'll listen to it a few more times. It's not that I didn't like it, but certainly didn't love it either, know what I mean? Well, at least yet.

My 'favorites' change almost daily haha. Yashanti is so beautiful as well, and Paris is a fun song but always gets stuck in my head haha.

171 views and 5 replies, damn! is it because people are listening and not liking or just have nothing to say?

I couldn't really get into her album. I dunno maybe I'll give it another shot.

it took me a while to get into her, but i'm glad i let it sit for a while and gave the album that chance. it's very powerful, but subtle.
