Denali broke up. They cancelled their show today in Madison. I interviewed Mike Park today, and he said they broke up at 4pm. Envy to the kids in Minnesota who saw the Plea for Peace Tour last night, last performance of a great band.

Wow. This is depressing. I hope I get to hear Maura's voice again sometime soon. It definitely drew me in, and now I can't get enough of it.

i also saw them on the last day of the Brand New/Piebald tour at the Cats Cradle in Carrboro, NC and they all seemed fine.

i talked to a few of the members after the show and gave them a cdr of the photography from there last show at Go! Room 4.

i pray this is not true.
they are one of my fav bands.

it was a good show expect for the loads of 12 year olds, truly punk has become commercialized, i wish they hadnt played 4 slow songs though.

Denali--

...wait, this band's lead singer was the best thing going for them. She's banging.

That's too bad, but with fans who constantly refer to the lead singer as 'bangin', I don't blame them.

Let me be the first to ask, what is so good about this band? I listened with an open ear, but couldnt get into them. This is proof the post hardcore stuff is dying.

just wanted to say that this is offical.

they did break up.

a friend of mine who owns a local venue knows Denali very well, they were actually the first band to play his club... he talked to them today after i told him about this 'rumor'... and they said its true.

im very upset.

Absolutepunk.net should observe the passing of this great band by never posting about another Drive-Thru band ever again.

punknews.org (http://www.punknews.org) has a clip from Jade Tree's website confirming the break-up. this is truely a sad day.

my mistake...u are correct....the rx bandits are quite good...i always forget that they are drive-thru since they arent cookie cutter pop-punk

The world would be a better place without RX Bandits and Taking Back Sunday. We need less bands who emulate their influences as opposed to drawing from them. Denali was truly like no other and the level of creativity in the music world just went down.

I think I speak for everybody, male or female, when admitting to masturbating to her loviness.
