Die Trying have been dropped from Island/Def Jam Records = incorrect

"Despite recent rumors that Die Trying had been dropped by Island/Def Jam, the band are in fact still on the label and are currenty undergoing some legalities involving their name, thus the group have been forced to keep a relatively low profile until everything is settled."

Seems like labels are just dropping bands all over the place. Just like they're dropping employees.

Yeah, but the difference here is that this band deserved to get dropped.

Personally...I kind of enjoyed their latest CD...but maybe that was just me. haha, oh well though.

I actually like this band. I just got into them a couple months ago, needing break from all the bands I would normally listen to. But it was very obvious that this band wouldnt last too long on Island. I'm also a huge Letter Kills fan but I can't see them lasting too long on Island either. Bands really need to have a big following in order to be successful on a major.

They didn't get dropped.

They are having legal problems with their name, and the band has been forced to keep a low profile.

I admit I do own the CD, I bought it around when it came out for 9 bucks after hearing 2 songs. The CD overall IS a dissapointment, most of the songs are borring.

I hate this band with a fiery passion, a fiery hate which I feel for only few bands. Witnessing them live was the saddest thing I've ever seen, but at least during the performance I enjoyed myself, burning their faces off their tour poster with a ciggarette.

Please let them be officially dropped sooner or later.

Not only are you cool because you smoke and like yellowcard, but you also bought a ticket to see a band you hate! I could not envy you anymore than I already do.

ive only heard that cheesy oxygens gone song...but making music like that, they deserved to be dropped if they haven't/aren't going to be yet. fuck die trying.

I'm not quite sure if thats sarcasm but seemingly it is...if not then you are a rather sad individual but if someone likes Yellowcard thats their decision, I personally find it pretty childish to criticize someone else's musical taste when it is in fact of the same genre as one you like...or did you forget you're on a board for absolutePUNK.net....and please enlighten me like so many others have on just how non-punk yellowcard are and how bands like nofx are the genuine article when the bands themselves are all friends and respect each other...point being never mock someone else's musical opinions, and if he smokes thats his decision...I smoke and I don't do it to be cool....you sound like a fucking truth add, and finally maybe just maybe the guy didn't buy his ticket to see die trying...you know bands usually play with other bands on the bill! {end rant}

but yeah on a side note I don't really like Die Trying either, but thats jusy my opinion, whether or nor they deserve to get dropped off of their label is a matter of how well they are received and how hard they work for it!

To the kid's credit, Die Trying were on several tours with bands that are pimped on this site, I'm sure he didn't pay to see them specifically.
