Great band, anyone else excited for Forth?

I really like some songs of them , but I'm not a real fan .. I didn't even know that a new album is coming out :p but now yes , I'm excited .

Big bump but I have been listening to the wonderful Urban Hymns today and forgot how much I love this album. Best known for the lead single 'Bittersweet Symphony' no question but I think there is at least one song I enjoy more than that on the album, definitely 'Drugs Don't Work', which says something about that particular song.

Will be regarded as their only classic album but I enjoy parts of Northern Soul and the song 'Gravity Grave', which was released as a stand alone single early in their career, is one of my favourites. I admire them for making such a move towards the poppier side of things on Urban Hymns and pulling it off. Their new album Forth I was excited for but was pretty dissapointing. I liked 'Love is Noise' live and it was a big lead single but the rest of the album was slightly dull and seemed to go on forever.

Amazing band live as well. Any fans?

Had a Verve kick the last few days. What a band. Still haven't got round to hearing Forth. Love Is Noise is a top tune though.

Urban Hymns.... just never gets old does it. If only this band could of found a way to contain their own volatility around that period & continue to make such good music.

Urban Hymns... bloody hell it's good. Time goes by & it just continues to sound as good as the day it was crafted. If you've never sat down with this record (& I don't just mean being familiar with the singles), then I suggest you do so. Just brilliant...

I used to love this band. I haven't heard Urban Hymns in the longest time.
