Tonight was the first night of the tour. We showed up right before The Morning Light went on. They played a solid set for their hometown crowd. Not bad. The Cab was next because Steel Train was in New York taping for Conan. They were missed. The Cab put on an entertaining show. They had a lot of energy, I'll give them that. A lot of people left after them. I was surprised that so many people new the words to their songs and stuff. I never realized they were that popular. I don't know any of The Morning Light's or The Cab's songs. I think The Cab played a song called "Bounce." That's all I got from them.

The Hush Sound looked like they were having a lot of fun, and the crowd was too. Lots of energy and singalongs. Here's their set (in order, I believe):

Intro (to Goodbye Blues)
Love You Much Better
Like Vines
Break the Sky
Sweet Tangerine
The Boys are Too Refined
Hurricane
As You Cry
Don't Wake Me Up
Momentum (acoustic)
The Artist
Where We Went Wrong
Molasses
Medicine Man
Wine Red
Back in the USSR (cover)
Not Your Concern
Honey

ENCORE:
Crawling Towards the Sun
You Really Got a Hold On Me (cover with drummer, Darren?, singing, Bob on piano, and Greta on drums)

They played for a really long time, and played a good mix of old and new songs. Of course they're supporting Goodbye Blues, so most of the songs are from there. They played all of my favorites from it though, so I came home happy. Momentum was definitely the highlight for me. They didn't play that the last time I saw them.

holy shit...20 songs by the hush sound? That's insane. I will want to die by the end of their set because im not a big fan, but I am really looking forward to the morning light and the cab.

I'm assuming the cab also played I'll Run and Take My Hand

Did the morning light play a song with the lyrics "You're Not Mine and I Know It......"

This is the best tour in the world. 20 songs? That's so much for my favorite band :) However, I know it'll be the greatest show I'm going to ever go to.

they are probably going to only have 13-15 for the rest of the tour, steel train would have to play at least 5 songs, but the last time i saw them they played about 6.

Yeah, you're right. In the beginning, Steel Train wasn't suppose to come to the SF date but I guess they are now.

A lot of people left after them.

are all shows all ages? i feel like a lot of little girls are going to be there to see the cab and no one else.

i've never seen the hush sound before, and even if there are playing less than that on a normal night, i am still ridiculously excited. :D

Well even though Steel Train wasn't there, there was a local band opening that we missed, and they started on time. They may have just taken their place. I'm not sure though.
It was a pretty righteous set though.

I think the one in Denver is 18+ or something but the rest are all all-ages. I think that more people are there for The Cab since they have that pop/r&b feel to their music.

By any chance do you remember how much the shirts were? That's kind of a stupid question but I'm kind of broke so I just wanted to know.

The band you missed was another local band called The Recession. I know a couple member of the band and they put on a good show. http://www.myspace.com/recession

Over all it was a great show. The Hush Sound was amazing.

um... well we paid for 4 hours of parking, and we almost used up the whole thing. I'd say around that. It was pretty long. The Hush Sound played forever.
