Regardless of level of musical talent (yes, Fred owns John in that aspect) I LOVE John Nolan. Everything the man does in my opinion is beautiful, so I guess that makes me biased. The first time I heard John strain his voice on that long hold on Cute Without the E I was like 'my God!'

Fred sounds similar but his voice just doesn't seem as raw. Sorry, but thats just how I feel.

Regardless tho, this album will own.

This album will be awesome either way. I think John was a better songwriter, even though Fred might be a better musician. I think John and Adam worked better than Fred and Adam will. But then again I could be wrong. The cd will still be amazing, just like the new Straylight Run cd will be.

TBS sounded really good at the Blink 182 concert on April 30th. maybe it was because everything was mixed perfectly. they played 3 new songs i think. they sounded different from anything off of TAYF, but they were still pretty neat.

I'm soo excited about this album. I love John, but what I've heard from the "new" Taking Back Sunday kicks just as much ass.

I really try my hardest to respect everyone's opinions, but I am seriously getting annoyed with the people on this site consistantly talking about how much TBS is gonna suck without John. Give it a chance.. if you still don't like it, go listen to Straylight Run.

when it comes down too it, john nolan was a cool enough guy, but shaun cooper was pretty lame, and matt is the shit, and an awsome bassist who started off in R&B so he's really versed, and yeah hearing them play the new songs in concert, they are much more complex and layered then the old songs are, the music john wrote was extreamly basic no more then 3 or 4 chord verses and chorus's i think fred is an up grade for sure

Dont you think the songs have become more complex and layered is due to the fact taking back sunday has been touring on the same fucking record for years now. Oh yeah, THEY ARE ALSO INFLUENCED BY PUNK MUSIC(Punk = Not the Best Musicians when compared to other genres)...I am backing Shaun Cooper because he's a solid bass player who doesn't just play the root note of a power chord like most punk bass players do...Mark Hoppus, I'm looking in your direction...And about Matt working with that fucking whore Lauren/Lurynn/Lauryn Hill, that doesn't mean shit. If you work with a talented musician, of course it makes you look better. But due to the Mis.education Lauryn Hill received, she would rather have a starving child die, than have a white person buy her music...yet she has Matt, that white douche bag, work with him. Anyways, I call him a douche bag because he seems to bring up his music resume anytime he feels threatened for not being with the band in the beginning. As if making music with a Grammy award winner means you can fill in for the person who's music your playing and tour off his rhythm in cute w/o the e.
