Simple Plan caught in SimpleScam

3 members of the Canadian pop band 'Simple Plan', namely Pierre Bouvier,Chuck Comeau,Patrick Langlois, are facing a US federal prosecution for piracy of the 'Role Model' clothing band. They have been refused twice by the USPTO in trying to register 'Role Model' as a trademark in 2002 & 2007, plus having their offer in 2005 rejected, by the actual owners of the trademark. Regardless, they still went ahead and pirated the 'Role Model' clothing brand. By shipping across counterfeit clothing from Canada to the USA(illegal exports), they broke US federal law, even after been warned by the owners Role Model Clothing Inc(US).

This Reviewer for Rolling Stone really wanted to use the word "soul" to describe a new and upcoming band, he contacted local labels to see there were any new bands he could use the word "soul" to describe them with.

Eventually Island records said to the Reviewer, " Well we just nabbed this band Fall Out Boy from Fueled By Ramen, i guess we could try to use them?"

The Reviewer grinned in a fat greed. He replied, "Yes, but first add some weight onto that skinny frontman, he hasn't got enough fat on him to belt out "soul"." Island records nodded and agreed to feed him twice as much as the other band members.

From Under the Cork Tree then was released, and the Reviewer said, " He isn't fat enough! This album barely has any "soul" at all! Make them change their sound to a pop-injected weak rock album!!!"

Island Records then obliged, stoked to get some more money off this Chicago quartet. They forced burgers upon burgers and otter pops down Patrick's mouth, until he blew up like a blimp.

Fall Out Boy, feeling a bit used, tried to get a new producer, Seal or someone, and they did. And Island Records paid off to the producer to make the new album as the Reviewer wanted it.

Infinity On High was released, and the reviewer got to use to the word "soul" in describing a new band. Patrick Stump remains fat.
