I'm working two jobs right now and I'm looking to gross about $22,000 total this year. I was wondering how much you all make each year.

Um... right now only about $10 000 (CDN) because I'm a student, but that just how much I make in a summer, so... $30-40K?

The position that I am hoping to get when I graduate (I'm an unpaid intern this summer and I'm applying for the honors internship for next summer, which should put me in a good position for the job) should pay 50-60k a year.
sounds better than what im getting. hopefully im leaving that fucking place soon. i cant stand it there.

Photography sounds great, though. I'd love to be artistic. I guess you do freelance photography, not freelance FSA processing haha. My brother is a great artist (pencil sketches and things), and he's looking at going to Savannah College of Art and Design, for computer stuff. I would actually love to be an English professor because I love to write, but I'll probably end up as an Intelligence Analyst, which will be fun and interesting and pay well.

12K working summers/winter breaks while I'm still in school.

Yeah I have a good time with my photography. Although as of recently I haven't been doing much because I've been so fucking tired from my day job I've been kind of lazy when I get home. You should definitely look into English if writing is what you love to do. This may sound ironic, but what is an intelligence analyst?

If this internship was all year round, it would be around 30K before taxes. But it's only three months full time so meh.

Wow, 22k seems like zilch. I'm not sure how you guys live on that.
But, I'm probably making maybe 3 grand a year, with my summer job, and part time job during the school year. I should work more.
31-32k a year, before taxes. although my company pays me much lower than the going rate. if i talk about this anymore i'm going to get cranky.

One benefit is, my full time job gives me a cheap apartment with free utilities, and possibly free internet and cable.
They take the rent right out of my check, but that way it's like I'm not losing it I guess. I also save a crap load on gas money because I don't have to drive and they pay me 58.5 cents per mile. When I'm out on buisness related drives, I can stop at the store and stuff and they would never know.
oh shit sneaking trips to the record store.

my part-time job while going to school nets me about $100 a week....so, a little under 5k before taxes. Which, given a meal plan I've already paid for and housing I have money set aside for, is pretty comfortable for now.

That's ridiculous. You could drive a car that gets 7 mpg (at $4/gal) and profit from that.

It's crazy some of you are making so much while on breaks. Is that from waiting tables or an office job?

I got a summer student position with the territorial government in which I get a guaranteed 37.5 hours/week for a minimum of 12 weeks.

I just work part time, usually get close to $200/week. I could use a better job...

That's too bad about the photography! Intelligence Analysts analyze all the information that comes through the FBI. I would spend a few years doing that while I pursue some sort of master's degree. I haven't ruled out becoming an agent, but I don't know yet.

Hahahahahahaha. I would have to eventually get a master's. And those would be 40 hour weeks with ridiculous amounts of overtime that wouldn't quite be optional. Also, if I agree to work in the Middle East, I would double that.

I have an internship with Northrop Grumman (defense contractor, #76 Fortune 100 company). I work 9/80 so essentially every other week is a four day week because I have that friday off. I average around 44 a week on five day weeks and 35 or so on four day weeks. I only get like 15.25 an hour but it's good money.

Probably negative because I spend so much money.

thats sounds like a really interesting job. it also sounds ridiculous hard/scary/awkward etc. although that could be what i think of it, you of course are probably completely fine with this.

It would be great. I'm just hoping to be able to get it. I think I would be frustrated as a teacher or professor, because I have a low tolerance for stupidity. Plus, I hate going to class! Getting a PhD would take forever.

It would take a long time. Longer than I could ever stand to be in school, but some people are made to do that sort of thing. You may hate stupidity and everything that comes along with school, but it could flow nicely for you.
