This is a thread just to discuss your area and what labels have picked up bands around your hometown or closest city. I live pretty close to Baltimore and bands from there are Darkest Hour to Victory - Adelphi to Drive Thru - Liars Academy to Equal Vision and then DC of course has a few older bands that we all know of.

So now your turn...

ummm well i moved out from atlanta for college, but in georgia, one way letter was sort of close to my hometown. the drummer went to school 5 minutes from me...i don't think they're signed though.

not sure about USC though. there's a band called Vertices which may have been picked up, although i'm not a big fan of them.

I like every one of those bands very much besides Nirvana, I hate them. I like Dave Grohl though, that is it.

Im here in Omaha, so we have all those saddle creek bands. The only ones that I really like are Azure Ray, The Faint and Cursive though. But Omaha has a huuuge pop punk scene and an awesome hardcore scene, so were ready to break out.

being from jersey means just about every band is around you.
Ace from TEN's sort of girlfriend goes to my school (TCNJ) and one of my high school best friends is good friends with one of the guys from Houston Calls/ex-Face First. Both amazing bands. I have hung out some of the guys from Midtown and Senses Fail.
Yeah being from jersey is awesome.

The guy used to stand out in front of local venues with a portable CD player and ask people to listen to their allbum, I'd see him around all the time, so we just started talking. Funny thing is, the first time I talked to him, I said Punchline sucked (I didn't know he was in the band). I feel kind of bad, I never can remember his name. I still see him at CD Warehouse and places like that.

hahah I go to Northeastern too...
Anyway, as far as I know, this past semester Alex was the only one still enrolled in NU, Andrew dropped out last year and Brendan dropped out last semester. I'm pretty sure Alex was dropping school after this semester... so now none of them go here anymore.
Nice boys, definitely deserve all of the success they have and much much more.

Yea, Brendan and I got to talking in the beginning of the year about school and I told him I was interested in music industry as a minor and he told me it was his major but he was dropping out soon, haha... I see him and a couple of the guys in the cafe all the time though, like constantly, I kept thinking to myself, didn't they drop out?? haha.
