Alright so this thread will probably get a lot of shit for the bands that are on the line up.
But it started up tonight in Chicago and it was awesome.
Anyone else going to this tour?

Boys Like Girls didn't play any new songs at all which I was hoping to hear, but Good Charlotte blew me away. Metro Station and the Maine were sweet too.
I'll try to post some of the sets later for those interested.

I'm pretty much going to this just for Good Charlotte, so I'm glad to hear they put on a good show. I've seen them kill it and I've seen them go through the motions.

Does GC go on before or after Boys Like Girls?

I'm going tonight. I'm kind of indifferent about it. Like, I want to go because I enjoy Boys Like Girls and have for a longgg time, and I'd also like to see Good Charlotte since I really liked them a few years back and still regret never going to see them live. I don't know, I'll get a set from all the bands though, except maybe Metro Station.

Just got back from the Denver show. I was very impressed...both The Maine & Metro Station played for 25 minutes each, Good Charlotte for an hour, and Boys Like Girls had been on for 45 minutes when we left (which was after The Great Escape, and they were thanking the crowd and saying it was their last song...not sure if there was an encore). I was really amazed that all the changeovers were done in 15 minutes, for every band.

Good Charlotte is who I went to see. They had some sound issues. The in-house sound completely fizzled out during Where Would We Be but they kept playing and you could only hear their onstage amps. There was a lot of feedback too. Other than that, considering the time they had their setlist was very good.

The Anthem
The River
My Bloody Valentine
Girls & Boys
Little Things
The Young & Hopeless
Where Would We Be
Hold On
I Just Wanna Live
Dance Floor Anthem
Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous

Only 1 song off of Good Charlotte and off The Chronicles, most of the songs were from Young & Hopeless with a few off of Good Morning Revival. Thankfully no "Keep Your Hands off My Girl" but I was hoping to hear some songs like Predictable, Walk Away, Misery, Break Apart Her Heart. Great show though. For the first 2 songs, it seemed like they were completely lost and didn't want to even be there, but after they got into it, they won me over and really got into it like they used to. Haven't seen them in 4 years but it was good.

The people I went with said Boys Like Girls was really off, and weren't putting on that good of a show. For only knowing 2-3 of the songs, I enjoyed their set and looked like they were doing a fine job. Metro Station was good, funny how last time I saw them, so few people were singing along, but they had a huge crowd this time around. Same with the Maine, who absolutely no one knew of when they were here in February, but a lot of people singing along.

The place started to empty out after Good Charlotte, which I found weird since they seemed to get the quietest applause when The Maine were introducing the bands. The place probably was 1/2 as full as it was at the beginning when BLG was halfway through their set.

I'm with you on wanting to hear "Walk Away" or "Predictable". The songs from Chronicles come off really well live, and they've tended to be the highlights of the set for me. And I know it's a single, but "Where Would We Be" is my least favorite song of theirs and I wish they were playing "Break Apart Her Heart" instead.

So happy to see they're playing "Little Things" on this tour. I'm going next week and seeing that made me a little more excited.

I just got back from the Boca show.It was a fun night.

I got there late so I only caught the last two songs from The Maine. But they were good.Very entertaining.

Metro Station was ok.Their set list was the same.Joel from GC came out to sing the last chorus of "Wish We Were Older" which was pretty cool. And at one point some kid started a mosh pit (ha) and pushed some girl, so Mason stopped singing and called him a fucking f*ggot. Ha and I don't know if Trace's mic was having problems or if they just turned the sound down, but at some points you could not hear him at all. They were fun but their songs are just so perverted and creepy that each time I see them I find myself cringing a lot.

Good Charlotte was great. That's who I really wanted to see and they didn't disappoint.I don't know if it's because they've had years more experience working a crowd,or if they're just better performers, but they really blew BLG out of the water. The set list was the same except they played Festival Song instead of Where Would We Be Now.It was great.Joel sounded sick though, and he said he was losing his voice. But it was awesome.Like 2002 all over again.

Boys Like Girls was pretty good.Their set list hasn't changed. They really rushed through their set though. After 1 song they just went right into the next. Not very much crowd interaction.Ha and Martin almost fell off the stage during one song. The crowd was getting pretty annoying at this point so I went towards the back.I was surprised at how emptied out the venue was already.A lot of people left after Good Charlotte. They were good and I enjoyed their set, I just wish they would record some new songs already.

So it was good times.I have never seen so many people pass out though. There were at least 20 kids in the front who had to be lifted out because they passed out or couldn't breathe. It was pretty ridiculous.

What? Are you serious? That pudgy pube kid said that? While he's wearing red pants? Ugh....

Also, the reason Trace's mic was probably "having problems" is because THE DUDE CAN'T FUCKING SIGN IN TUNE.

Lol yea a good part of the audience laughed when he said that. And they weren't laughing at the kid...

And Trace's whole stage performance altogether is pretty laughable. And very disturbing as he's screaming "Lets just fuck" into a crowd of mostly 13 year old girls.

lol, the LAST time Good Charlotte was Good Charlotte was when I was 14 and I'm ALMOST 21, so 7 years ago, you would've been 8 then, and yet you agree with him, I'm assuming that you're agreeing mainly cuz their S/T was the only solid thing they've released? o well, GC went downhill once their drummer left in 2002 to start Wakefield (a WAYY better band)

Or when Mason said "I rather be grinding with the girl than pushing her" when the whole fiasco with the girl happened.
Kind of pedophile-ish if you ask me since most of their fan base is rather young.

I took my girlfriend to the detroit show tonight because we got passes and holy f good charlotte, it was like a fucking time machine of talent hit them and they laid blg to waste. Went last night in NYC (yes I felt incredibly creepy being 24 and there by myself). Thoughts on each band below.

The Maine
Holy shit this kid can't sing at all. Besides being a mediocre power-pop band they sound DREADFUL live. Perfect example of the MySpace-core fashion-over-function crowd. I get the feeling these bands are the type of bands who enjoy dropping the F-bomb because they think it still actually shocks some people.

Metro Station
What even needs to be said anymore? Total dance-pop garbage that COMPLETELY LACKS ANY IDEA OF A FUCKING HOOK. Also, someone needs to take the pube kid who wears the red pants and just say "listen dude, let's get some vocal lessons, drop the douche Cyrus kid, drop the red pants and start again." The whole sexual undertone of their set was so disgustingly creepy yet not a tad offensive or rebellious.

Good Charlotte
The only reason I went. For a tour like this, they really showed that they are most professional of the tour. Even if Joel sounded like his throat was a little hoarse, him and Benji still nailed all their harmonies ("Bloody Valentine" sounded particularly good). I was a little surprised they didn't play more off of Good Mourning Revival, since this is really their first proper tour for that album in the states (besides opening up for Justin Timberlake). Was glad to hear "Little Things" live again too.

Boys Like Girls
Couldn't tell you...I was on the E train getting the fuck away from that auto-tuned fashion-core sorry excuse for a band.

I went to Chicago and Detroit.

I only got to watch a little of Chicago's show. I had to catch a flight with some friends. All the bands were nice guys... I didn't really talk to Good Charlotte... They stood next to me for a few during The Maine... I never realized how short some of those guys are.

The fans were entertaining at both shows, especially after the Detroit show. The mobs around the buses were hilarious.

Couldn't tell you...I was on the E train getting the fuck away from that auto-tuned fashion-core sorry excuse for a band.

GC is just as untalented and shitty as boys like girls.

Obviously up to the ears of a listener. Regardless of if you personally enjoy Good Charlotte, they actually have the ability to write more than one type of song (for better or worse). I feel BLG is stuck in that drab mid-tempo power-pop without any hooks mode.

mason musso should donate some body fat to trace cyrus via transplant. then this band would look a little more, you know, wholesome and proportional.

haha, I adore Mason. Yeah I'll admit it.
I strongly dislike Trace ' crater-horse face' Cyrus though.

This. Tour. Is. Horrible.

I heard mention of it starting at 4? Thats fucking stupid

The dates I went to started at 6/7. I think doors were supposed to open at 4 in Chicago.
