It started yesterday, did anyone go?
I may go, but only to see Underoath and Suicide Silence.
The rest of the lineup is kinda meh, but yeah.
Damn, why the fuck does this shit fest of a tour need more than one topic? use the search function!

i wouldn't mind seeing those 2 bands and mastodon, five finger death punch, walls of jericho, red chord, and 36 crazyfists. i don't think it's too bad of a show really...i just don't feel like driving 3 hours to see it

the other thread is gone, you should use the seach button
and if you don't like the lineup at all
why the fuck would you take the time to even comment on it?
stuff like that has never made sense to me...

I'm going August 3. But just for Slipknot and Underoath. I hate Suicide Silence so much.

Underoath is always very impressive live but I'm not going to go to this tour just for one band at a venue that's 2 hours away. I'll wait for their Fall headlining tour since they'll be playing a longer set and will have much better bands touring with them.
just-in.
07/10/08, 08:16 PM
haha underoath's performance may be "intense" and all, but its also very very weak vocally
or at least it was the two times that i saw them
not the best live band.

I agree about Spencer's voice being an issue
that's why I can't really listen to their live stuff
but from what I've seen on youtube
his screaming is A LOT better

i went yesterday and it was crazy.
i saw red chord and they were fucking nuts!!!!
watched some jager band. got to meet underoath, some 36 crazyfists, some walls of jericho, suicide silence, some 5 finger death punch. during 5FDP it started raining hardcore and they had to stop and black tide ended up not playing. they moved over to main for a little and airborne played and were terrible. then they reopened side stage and i watched underoath, then dragonforce and machinehead.
overall everyone was good except airborne.

dragonforce is rediculously good live. if you arent a fan of theirs before you go to see them, then you prob will not like them seeing how they are so chaotic and frantic to keep up with.
But, if you listen to them and know what they are all about it amazes you to realize that they can actually pull it off live, and do so even faster then in recording.
Go to a dragonforce headlining show and once you see both guitarists duel with the keyboardist...tell me how much more insane live disturbed is then them. ok? cool

I've been listening to Underoath for a while and I am familiar with and like all of their stuff, so I'm not just looking for the singles, but why don't they play Reinventing Your Exit anymore?
lol dragonforce sucks cock
my review from yesterday:
First off, I had a wristband to get in early which was pretty cool. Mayhem took over the same amount of space that Warped takes, except it was extremley spacious bc it's just a smaller tour. The main problem at the beginning was that there was no shade whatsoever. The stupid amphitheatre was sealed off until the mainstage bands started which made no sense. I went to the Underoath signing, and Tim said they'd be coming back to Dallas in the fall! Later that day, I was front row center for Underoath which was pretty cool. Their set was a lot more enjoyable than the last time I saw them, bc that crowd sucked bad. Then, I headed over to the mainstage and waited around. Then, Dragonforce played. I don't like them at all, but I have to admit, they're all talented musicians. They did this thing where they all played each other instruments which was pretty cool. But, idk, there's something about them. They seem like the kind of band I'd listen to if I was obsessed with anime & played videogames 24/7. Later, Disturbed played. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they were pretty good. Lastly, was Slipknot. They put on one of the best liveshows I've ever seen! The crowd wasn't as bad as I expected, and I was right against the barrier infront of #6 (Shawn Crahan). Overall, it was a great show. The crowd was a lot more mature and cooler than all the "scene kids" at the shows I usually attend, which was a nice change. I'd recommend going to this if it comes to your city.

They don't like that song, so they don't bother to play it. They have left that song off their setlists for a long time now.

I saw DragonForce in '06 when they were touring with All That Remains and Horse The Band and they were awful.
I like Mastodon and I like The Red Chord and Underoath is alright.
this tour sucks :( bring back Sounds Of The Underground!!!

i'm not a disturbed fan but i'm curious about their song placement, and as rediculous as slipknot's personalities and public persona's are they're a great metal band and i want to know what their set is?
