Hey about time someone started an Official Conditions thread. I love this band. Their debut ep has been on a daily rotation on the ole iPod. Last count was 80+ plays.

So far this is my favorite release of 2008.

I know they have drawn heavy comparisons to Saosin which I can maybe hear on a few songs but overall they have their own unique sound.

Glad someone made a thread for them. I have probably listened to this ep more than anything else in 2008 so far. It doesn't get old to me. Fine Young Firecrackers is my favorite song from the ep, although I wish they would have added A Knight In Shining Amor- that's probably my favorite song by them (or FIAD)

yeah its a good one (knight and citizen). knight used to be on their myspace, but i guess it was taken down. i've got the fiad version of it from their 2006 demos if you wanna hear that- different singer though.

FIAD could have been huge indeed. I always thought they were gonna blow up back in the day, but for the life of them they could not keep a permanent lineup. Sad times. They were good.

It stood for Forever In A Day. Basically the were the nucleus for what is now Conditions. A few of Conditions songs were FIAD songs which they re-did. Check out the old purevolume. Listen to Fine Young Firecrackers and In Light Of Silver And Black and be prepared for a few vocal surprises haha. Also listen to Verse. That was the jam back in the day.

Honestly, I listened to a couple of the songs on their MySpace before seeing them on Vultures Unite, and I didn't like them. But they completely blew me away.

Flourescent Youth is definitely one of my top five albums this year, and Conditions is one of my new favorite bands.

It was pretty good! It was at Warped and their crowd was kind of small, though. They looked really excited that people were listening and knew the lyrics, though. I'd like to see them on a headliner or something over the summer, though.

Solid yeah man they're a great band. Great live show too. I hope more and more people listen to them and love them. You gotta see one of the Richmond shows. And so do I actually. I haven't seen them since their cd came out.

Really? I thought everything on their lp sounded so bland.. Some songs like Citizen, A Knight in Shining Amore, Persona, and Good Bye Good Name were some of their best songs.

Side note, the songs from the band's previous band aren't bad either, basically some older Conditions songs with them screaming every now and then.

Their live show is fantastic, you should definitely go if you have the chance. The few that I can remember that they've toured with are: VersaEmerge, There for Tomorrow, Anarbor, The Dangerous Summer, and Paramore. They've been out with tons more, I just can't think of any right now. They're out with Sleeping with Sirens now (or they will be within the next few weeks, I'm not sure when it starts).

Yeah weird timing, but I guess it's to make sure people don't completely forget about them while they're working. With our unlimited access to music, it's easier now more than ever to forget about a band if they aren't consistently in the spotlight or putting out new music
