Good Charlotte (http://www.goodcharlotte.com)'s new album .. slower? heavier? piano? choir? Read here (http://rollingstone.com/news/newsarticle.asp?nid=19707).

slower and with piano? Now they'll look even more ridiculous with their apparent punk apparel!

And what about a choir?!? Hopefully it's a gospel choir. That'd be hilarious.

yeah that would definitely be outrageous! We'll keep our fingers crossed that it is a gospel choir! and even more so that it is fronted by a 400 pound small town black woman! praise the lord!

Sounds to me like Good Charlotte will soon be telling us how they have seen the light!

Ha...I am probably the only one here looking forward to this somewhat...I'm interested to here it. Even though I didn't like Young and the Hopeless really at all, I still think they could write some pretty good songs on this record.
no ur not the only one who is lookin forward to it. Young and the Hopeless was aight so maybe this one will be better

okay...so now they've gone from "punk" to "pop punk" and now what's their new genre? "gospel punk" ?! they were way better when they actually played punk music. sigh.

Good Charlotte played punk music?

"The little things, the little things, they always hang around!
The little things, the little things, they try to bring me down!"

I'm a hypocrite for getting into petty internet debates about what's "punk" and what's not "punk," but if we're looking to label GC's first album something, it's definitely not "punk."

Whatever you say, who cares whether or not their music is punk, I've talked to them before back way before they left the damn state and still do, they're cool and who cares what music they play, don't like em, fine thats great, yes, the second cd was nowhere near as good as the first, but the first wasn't exactly amazing

anyone who gives this horrible band or their new ablum any credit needs to be shot. they are the biggest sellouts and posers. they are freaking pop group instead of a band. i saw them with less than jake last year and there were nothing but 12 year old teeny-boppers at their show with punk shirts and spiked hair. GC is a disgrace to music and i am ashamed to say that they are from my area

*Shurgs* I dunno. I'd like to see this "change". I don't mind GC

Am I the only one that got caught up with the possible Christmas themed album instead of the choir related songs?

They can put whatever cd they want, just don't tour with bands whose core audiences aren't 12 years old and who mosh and annoy the older audiences just for the hell of it.

It floors me that people still get into this debate.
