Just seeing which you guys like better since they are both very innovative as far as marketing goes for their albums, and how they like to think of new ways to surprise the fans. Overall, which would you pick as the all-around better band?

I couldn't agree more. NIN is mad legit, but I don't think they can match up to radiohead.

Radiohead. I never really got into NIN. I guess their music never really interested me enough into checking out any of their albums.

Seems like I'm a minority in this but I choose N.I.N because I seem to find myself listening to Trent Reznor more than radiohead. Even though Radiohead is awesome.

radiohead is cool and all, even though i'm not a huge fan post the Bends.
But I picked NIN because...I like the music better 99% of the time.

My dad thinks trent reznor is amazing and my dad is a bad ass mother fucker so i choose nin.

I used to think Radiohead was over rated until i saw them live and actually took the time to really listen to their work and let it sink and now i am obsessed with them. they are truly incredible.
i suggest you give them a real chance

I've tried to listen to them, I just don't enjoy them. It must be something about Thom Yorke's unbearable voice., not really sure. I just know that I wouldn't be upset if they stopped making music..
On the other hand, I can't see how Radiohead even compares to NIN. If you compare each NIN album to each Radiohead album, there's no denying that NIN would win.. But thats just my opinion...
Nine Inch Nails,
even though Radiohead are also amazing.

I'm not sure how these two bands could even be compared, with the exception of time frame and free albums they don't really have anything in common that I can hear. But I've gotta go with Radiohead, even at their worst they beat NIN at their best (which is actually pretty good, not trying to insult NIN or anything).

Wow. This is probably the funniest thing I've read all week. Ever pay attention to Reznor's lyrics?

See I really don't see that.. I've said it before and I'll say it again.. I'll give Radiohead the benefit of the doubt with The Bends and Ok, Computer.. Outside that, nah.. Pretty Hate Machine, Downward Spiral, The Fragile?
Yea, there is no comparison between the two.. Not even remotely the same type of music. Both bands will be looked at in the years to come, but Radiohead doesn't do it for me. Never have..
Plus, if you look at the catalog, whose done more for music, NIN

I guess we just have vastly different tastes. I think Kid A is an amazing album, and Amnesiac is criminally underrated. That 4 album run (The Bends through Amnesiac) is better than anything anyone has done in the past 20 years. In Rainbows is quite good too, and Pablo Honey and HTTT aren't as bad as people make them out to be. As for NIN, I really like Pretty Hate Machine and Broken, about half of Downward Spiral, and selected songs off of each album after that. Well, not the remix discs, those are pretty much shit.
And what do you mean "Plus, if you look at the catalog, whose done more for music, NIN"??? Look at the catalog? As in their total output? Well I'd still go with Radiohead. They've done more to further music in this decade than NIN, they've done more to make avante garde music more accessible to mainstream listeners, and they've inspired a hell of a lot more copycat bands. You can see the influence of Radiohead everywhere you turn, sometimes whether you like it or not. If not for the success of OK Computer, a lot of record labels might never have gotten the courage to let a band explore and try new things. All of these new indie bands that are in the spotlight today owe a lot to Radiohead for paving the way. Meanwhile, NIN has mainly influenced a certain core group and hasn't really done anything to progress those styles and scenes. Not to insult him or his music, but he really isn't doing anything new, and he really hasn't made much of an impact on music as a whole. Sorry, I just don't see any possible way that NIN has done more for music. If you like a band that's one thing, but you don't have to act like they changed the world to defend them. If you like 'em that's good enough for me, leave it at that.

No way in hell any song in Radiohead's arsenal is better than "Right Where It Belongs".
Nine Inch Nails is a huge part of my life, my entire family's been listening to them since before I was born.

So you aren't biased at all when saying "No way in hell." You can make arguments for NIN but saying no way in hell about Radiohead is just plain stupid. They can compete with any band in history.

Those are two of my favorite bands. But I'd have to side with NIN since I think Trent Reznor's a genius, and I enjoy a bigger percentage of their output then Radioheads.
