Eve6 (http://www.eve6.com) has decided to call it quits after they finish up the current tour. The band hasn't cited any particular reason for their breakup, but it is most likely to pursue other projects after the band was dropped from RCA records earlier this year.

That's depressing. When I was a kid and all my friends were obsessing over the Spice Girls and the other manufactured crap of the 90's, Eve 6 was there for me. They're one of the few bands I liked when I was younger that I still listen to today.

max said he's going to do some type of solo project with just him and jon said he's already started up a new band.. they've been a band for 10 years. for jon that's since he was 14.. so i guess its time

actually, they dont suck. i know tate has been mentioning midtowns new change in sound. i suggest everyone take a listen to eve 6's latest album "it's all in your head". some of the best shit i've ever heard, and nothing what you'd expect. definetly going to be missed.

Eve 6.....wow. Great, Great albums. They made 3 of the most enjoyable albums I own. I think I can listen to all 3 of their cd's straight through and not get tired of them. This sucks.

that sucks. RIP Eve 6. i guess the stupid label dropped them because their last album was not as popular as Horrorscope. mainstream radio and Mtv expected another "Promise", "Here's To The Night", or even an "Inside Out." oh well, i hope they're side projects are as good as Eve 6. and i'm lucky i saw them last year.

Personally, I wouldnt count them out. I read the eve 6 boards every week, so this isnt new to me. Not dissing on Tate or anything. Most fans who frequent the site a lot have known a for a bit, it just hasnt been widely spread. One of the moderators has an awesome page called Eve 6 Media HQ. It's got audio bootlegs and video, adn some occasional news. I wouldnt say he's 'friends' with the band, but he does talk to them now and again. Basically what he's been told is the band is taking an "extended break" to pursue solo projects, but haven't left out the option of doing eve 6 later down the road. So, in a sense, yeah, they've broken up, but they're far from gone. Each one of them has something their working on, and from what I'm told Max has been experimenting some of his solo stuff on the current tour. So here's hoping. They were a great fucking band

That sucks. I had totally quit liking this band but this reminds me of how their self-titled album saved me from all of the shitty music i used to listen to, and also how "here's to the night" still reminds me of my high school graduation.

Call it radio mainstream fodder if you so desire but Heres to the Night was one of the most beautifully written songs ever. Horrorscope was the album that got me into music and so I will miss them.

Great band. I sincerely hope they are in fact on a break. That would be great to hear another new record from them. Their new album "It's All In You Head" is very good. Check it out if you haven't yet.
It's All In My Head was mediocre, horrorscope was god, s/t was really good, and Eleventeen was really good. Eve 6 was indeed a great band and I will miss them. I'm going to rock out to Promise...

Awww man...I just got really back into them again. They are such a great band. Again, they also helped me through all that other crappy mainstream music. Perhaps I'll have to go to the last tour now.
