The Spill Canvas will be playing The Meow Meow this coming Sunday (23rd) with The Lyndsay Diaries. I urge everyone that can find a way to this show - be there.
I'll also be at the Matchbook Romance, The Matches, Maxeen, Boys Night Out show on Friday (21st) and the Autopilot Off show the following Monday (24th) - so try and make it out to the shows and show the bands that Portland is a worth while stop on their tours.

Seriously. We need more people turning up at Portland shows so that they keep coming back

i agree, but i'm thinking the Spill Canvas show is at the Meow Meow, not the Noc. I know the MBR show is at the Nocturnal though..

I haven't been to the new Meow Meow. Has it changed that much there since it was b complex?

I havent been to any Portland shows sice I normally go to Seattle but POrtland would be just as close. I live in Richland which really sucks but I promote shows in Seattle and they normally get a good turn out. I'll be at the Matchbook Show at Graceland on Saturday and the Spill Canvas show in Kennewick at 321 on the 25th if anyone is going to those shows. Also how does anyone feel about Graceland for shows personally I love that venue?

Also playing the Spill Canvas show is Day Of Lions, a really good Portland band, so everyone make sure and get there early to see them as well.
As for the Meow Meow and changes since it was the B Complex...the only real significant changes are the bar/table set up was taken out and there are now just regular tables/chairs set up in that area and there are also the arcade games that were in the cafe at the old Meow Meow. And, for right now at least, the upstairs area (minus the bathrooms and smoking deck) is closed off because they're remodeling it and making it into an art gallery/extra space for shows/practice.
