You can read an article here (http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story?id=5993437&pageid=rs.Home&pageregion=single1) on Green Day (http://www.greenday.com)'s new album, American Idiots, which is slated to be released later this fall.

i will be so pissed if this is a bush/government-bashing cd. i'm praying its not, but the whole "theme" that BJ mentioned in the article and the album title itself make it out to be that way.

Green Day is still awesome after all these years.

Is anyone else becoming annoyed that no one is describing what the album sounds like?

Green Day are awesome...if they want to make a politically themed album and express their opinions then so be it, the bottom line is the music, as long as thats still good, then I'll definately buy it.

i dont care who it bashes, if the music is good, i'll listen to it. If the music is good and Billy Joe wants to vioce an opinion in it, than even better...expresion through music is a beautiful thing, whetehr or not you agree with what he's saying.

i've been a nofx fan for a hell of a long time...but i can't listen to 'errorism'. not that i don't genrally agree with the political views of those guys...but i don't really want to listen to political diatribes from the same band who spent the past 18 years releasing mostly apolitical albums about drugs, lesbians, and not wanting to shower. the politics just get in the way of the rocking. i hope green day doesn't screw it up, too. leave the ranting to anti-flag.

i could be coming out of left feild with this, but i was hoping that 'american idiot" would be making fun of the reality show american idol at least that wouldn't be about bush, that would be political in it's own right, but at least not anoying anti bush crap that we've all already heard. i'm just excited for them to tour again--- kerplunk rocks
