What'd be your pickup of choice?


I know Tom from Blink played the X2N back in the Cheshire Cat / Dude Ranch days and then switched to Invader on Enema of the State.

I'm hearing things the X2N has higher output and treble while the Invader has a more of a bassy tone.

Also, has anyone here ever played a Gibson Dirty Fingers pickup, which is courtesy of Tom's current axe?

stay away from blink-182 type pickups. they all suck. dont get any of those. i have the invader and the dimarzio and they both suck balls.

do yourself a favor and get a gibson 490T or what PRS uses in their custom 22's

Oh well, I'm not into getting one, because Blink plays them! It's just that after watching several live videos of those guys, I've come to be really stoked about the distortion tone Tom pulls off with his pu's. And can't really tell the differences in tonality from the live vids at all... they all sound pretty chugga chugga-style, which I prefer most.

I am too. I'm almost done with my first class of guitar.. well when school ends but yeah. woo :D

as soon as i saw the title of this thread, i knew i was of no use. i wish i knew how to play guitar.

Learning how to play guitar is just about as learning anything else like let's say getting into a foreign language at school or something. You just gotta dedicate your precious time to it. Once you've built a solid base it comes kinda like 2nd nature
