Okay, so this could be one of my most favorite bands. This band opened up a lot of music for me. "Relationship Of Command" is a CD that is impossible to get sick of, I love every song on the album.

With incredible and intelligent lyrics, this band has it all. They are fucking amazing and I'm pissed that I never got the chance to see them live. I fucking hate Sparta and I'm pissed that Cedric and Omar hate At The Drive-In.

No band compares to these guys, not even The Mars Volta, seriously .. At The Drive-In is a band all on it's own.

Now, go listen too "Pattern against user."

They're my favorite band of all time. I agree that none of the other bands compare to At The Drive-In but the new groups are good at what they do. Now if you're recommending songs for people to check out I am going to suggest they listen to Enfilade.

"I'll be the Hyena, you'll see."

Yeah it is a great song.

Thursday is an awesome band. Just thought I add that as their CD starts to play on my system, woo!

Yea, I'm pissed I never got to see ATDI. I'm seeing Sparta on June 3rd and I'm not really that excited...it's nothing compared to ATDI. Nothing.

I would have loved to have seen ATDI play with Rage Against The Machine. Both bands broke up now. It sucks.

Have they ever played a show together? I remember the first time I heard "One Armed Scissor" and I thought it was a new Rage song... I was blown away.

Holy shit, that would be an amazing show.

Well, The Mars Volta did tour with A Perfect Circle and they aren't too bad at all. Cedric and Omar know good music.

05/17/04, 05:01 PM
Haha, they also wear the tightest chick pants I have ever seen.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:03 PM
chick pants are comfortable. yes that means i own a pair. so what? any of you chick pants hater wanna start some shit? i will fuck you up today son! haha whatever, i love ATDI and the bands that have come from ATDI.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:06 PM
Haha I have no problem with chick pants, I don't own any, but my little brother does. I'm a normal dresser I guess.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:07 PM
This is what I wear...

jeans, collard shirt and my old skool new balances..

Yeah, don't tell me, I already know I'm cool.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:08 PM
yeah so am i but i got one pair at the salvation army and i'll be damned if they aren't comfortable, a little constrictive in the bathing suit area, but still comfortable. just steer clear of lunges and any other heavy excercise and you'll be a-ok.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:09 PM
ummm, i wear

jeans
sexy motherfucking t-shirts and button up shirts
blue reebok running shoes (HOTTT)

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:10 PM
Haha well if I ever decide to wear chick pants I will refrain from doing lunges.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:12 PM
haha if i wear normal non-baggy regular jeans around a certain few of my friends who think they are "indie" they always say "you have the baggiest pants, what the hell dude?" and they're referring to pants that a lot of people would think are almost tight-fitting. fucking emo bastards.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:15 PM
Haha they are bastards.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:19 PM
fuck emo. all i listen to now is metal and rap. but not at the same time.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:22 PM
Well if you call Hot Cross, City Of Caterpillar, The Blood Brothers, You And I emo music, than I LOVE IT! Because really, that is where the emo is at. The Get Up Kids, DC, and TBS are not emo bands.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:23 PM
haha i'm kidding i love all music. just music in general.

i love all those bands you mentioned.

no the get up kids and dc aren't emo but i still love them.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:23 PM
I forget the real explaination, but you can ask Still Life, because he knows.

He said something all long the lines of emo stemming from hardcore bands.

And the bands I listed are hardcore.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:24 PM
well i already knew that. but yeah he's right.

still_life's cool but he can be kind of a stuck up prick sometimes.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:24 PM
I know, me too.

Cept for TBS, I hate em'.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:26 PM
Yeah he is cool, and he can be stuck up. But he really does know what he is talking about. Even though I don't agree with a single thing he has to say politcally I will always go to him for music, he knows everything - and it is all really, really good stuff.

And if you ever get the chance talk to BanMe because he knows tons, and tons, and tons of good Metal/Hardcore stuff. He can really help you out with good bands to.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:27 PM
And this other kid, XnotedgeX knows tons of good music too. I'm pretty sure he hates me though, he is why I got banned once before.

But besides that, he knows a lot of good Metal/Hardcore and Emo stuff.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:30 PM
yeah i've talked to both. they're cool dudes.

i don't know though, genre's fucking piss me off and i think it's lame that we have to catogorize every single little thing. like, i understand the need to discern between rock, hip-hop, jazz, etc., but all these ridiculous sub-genres are completely unnecessesary and they seem to exist only to give people who spend their free time learning about the history and meaning behind every genre bragging rights for shit that doesn't even matter. whatever.

i love music. that's it.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:31 PM
i also listen to the majority of the bands that they name-drop so yeah i don't really need to talk to them about it.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:34 PM
I know exactly what you mean, some of these genre things do get really annoying.

So when someone asks me what I listen to I just name some bands.

I only get annoyed when people try to label Senses Fail hardcore, TBS emo, TSL emo, Sugarcult emo, and anything else like that.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:36 PM
I refrain from name dropping.

But then people say - Well if you think MBR sucks then what do you listen to?!

Oh well.

boysdontcry
05/17/04, 05:38 PM
now don't get me wrong, i like still_life and banme and those people but when they name-drop like 50 bands in one post it seems to me like they are just trying to seem cool.

yeah if someone asks what i listen to i'll tell them but otherwise i just don't talk about it.

The Bled 13
05/17/04, 05:41 PM
Yup, I know what ya mean.
