My iPod normally travels with me everywhere I go, but recently I haven't discovered any good bands worth listening to on my travels.
Here's a very short list of bands that I listen to on occasion (not very often now since I've overplayed a majority of them):
Courage Call
Mercy Mercedes
The Mile After
My Favorite Highway
Holiday Parade
Jack's Mannequin
New Empire
Suggestions?

Whose verdict judges what bands are "better" than others? Yours? I'm assuming. 'Cause if that's the case, you obviously haven't learned one of the essential points in the music world which is the fact that music is a matter of opinion. So I guess if you think that your music choices are "better" than others' then you're quite an egomaniac.

Haha, like I mentioned before, it was just a short list, I was running out of time to type it up so I had to limit it to the few bands that were on my mind at the time. But yes, you're right. I'm not big into the louder aspect of this genre of music that we're concentrating on in this thread.

If you like softer music, Mae is good. Singularity was more rock but still pretty soft.
Also try Keane, I don't personally like them very much but you might.
Between The Trees, I know a lot of people dislike them though.
Sanctus Real is a good- albeit Christian- powerpop/rock band.

I've been a fan of both Mae and Between the Trees for quite some time now. However, I've heard of Keane and Sanctus Real before this thread but never really took the effort to check 'em out. To say the least, I'm glad you recommended them!
listen to the song "It's Beautiful" by Eleventyseven. I think it'll be right up your alley.

Oooooh, oooh. Have you heard of this band Brand New?
I heard they have an album about the devil and some character named god. Sounds like it could make for a great screenplay. Get my buddy Jesus in on it and it'll be gold!

I hope it's adapted to a broadway musical. I always said the one thing Brand New could use was jazz hands and spirit fingers.
I want to throw a multicolored coat into all this. Ideas? Names?

Is A Real Boy
So, we have this Jesus character. I want that god to somehow be related to him, let's say father. Then this devil? He's the bad guy. Yeah, devil sounds bad. And it turns out Jesus...Is a real Boy. Add a few hundred pages of filler, toss in a few morals and we've got a solid book.
