Could you imagine the collective orgasm this site would have at the mere prospect of such an epic project?

If you don't already have "I Will Possess Your Heart" by Death Cab for Cutie, I really like that song.
I also really like "Words" by Between The Trees, "The Architect" by The Crimson Armada, and (*Fin) by Anberlin. If you haven't heard (*Fin), everyone I know who's heard it likes it. It's an amazing song.

Yes it is amazing. Of course it would have to be or else the whole album wouldn't have been.

This. Once you have the money, go buy Highway 61 Revisited or something.

Go to a pawn shop or used bookstore or something, you're bound to find entire CD's used for $4 or less. I just bought 8 (at least 3 of which are amazing) for $4. Tell the mp3 revolution to go screw itself.

agreed. I always try to get my music in real life, but good record stores are getting so scarce...

Yeah, that's why I said pawn shops and used bookstores and places like that. All of the decent record stores in my town closed years ago, and we're left with FYE and a few other chain places. Every once in a while you can find something decent in their used section, but I'd much rather go elsewhere. Also, try the library. The one here has book sales a few times during the year, and they typically have CD's, records, DVD's, you name it. I've gotten some amazing stuff there dirt cheap.

I don't know, I really liked the rest of the album. Adelaide isn't my favorite, but it's ok.

Lack of any record stores here, that I know of, lead me to pirate everything. Also, ignore the idiot that rec'd The Crimson Armada, unless you like douchebags that play Christian metal.

New song should be streaming this week, and the EP should be here within a week or so I would imagine....

Our town's old independent record store is now an independent coffee shop. Same customer base.

I'm hoping someone opens up a new record store in our town soon. There's even a great space for lease right next to the third Starbucks they're building.
Fuck. I live in a small town and we've got three Starbucks, two of them are on the same street, and we've got no record store. I can't wait to get to Charlotte.

Maybe it's just me, but I haven't been that impressed by Finch. I like a few songs, but that's about it. What don't I 'get'?

I just like the way they are different from everyone else. The songs just click for me, I remember the first time I heard "What It Is To Burn" and I was in awe. I couldn't stop listening to it. Nate, their lead singer, has an amazing voice and you can tell he puts a lot into the songs. My favorite album by them is What It Is To Burn, but I am quite a loyal fan so I will keep listening.

I have family in Charlotte, I know that area pretty well. There's a club in Pineville, can't remember the name offhand, but they get some pretty good bands from time to time. But I'm about 3 hours away, so I don't go there very often unless it's someone I really have to see. And with gas $4 a gallon, the Pope would have the opening act before I drive that far for a show :P

The Exclusive Company was the ONLY record store I knew of near me, and it just went out of business. I did, however, find an independent record store even closer then that was, so yay.
