New miniseries on HBO from the creators of The Wire about the Iraq war. I thought the first episode was pretty damn good. Anyone else check it out?

If there's already a thread let me know, didn't see one though.

I watched it. The Wire is a tough act to follow, so I'm going to reserve judgment until I've seen a couple more episodes, but I liked what I saw.

It was alright. I had my hopes really high and it didn't really live up to them.

i've never seen an episode of the Wire.

You should probably get on that. Fantastic show if you have the patience and attention span to get into it.

I didn't watch the first episode of Generation Kill because I'm waiting for all seven to be up on On Demand.

yeah but it was episode number 1. the first one is always slow with this kind of a mini series. remember band of brothers? the first episode had ross from friends in it...

and BOB is fucking awesome.

Ross's character (Sobel) was incredible though.

I love this show. David Simon ftw again. I thought some points of episode two were hilarious. Especially when they were talking about recruiting.
